My hearing is poor so I would listen to the TV through headphones connected through my stereo. I thought to replace the large stereo system with the BT-T100 which I needed because my TV had no headphone access. It worked OK if I was the only one listening and sitting in the same room as the TV, but I found that the unit introduced a slight time delay that caused an echo if my wife was also listening through the TV speakers. I also found that the system had a limited range and even a short move into the kitchen would cut out the sound, so in the end I had to replace the large stereo amp. It was an expensive experiment that I thought I should warn others about.

I need a Bluetooth transmitter so I can watch my shows at night without disturbing anyone. This device bears the Sennheiser label and while likely not actually manufactured by the famous German pro-audio company, it is still a reassuring logo, and so far it is living up to it. It will accept either digital input (via standard Toslink - cable included) or analog (via stereo 3.5 mm mini plug (also included). Also included is a USB power cable, but not the wall wart power supply (you've got plenty of them around by now.) Installation is easy, once you determine which audio output from your source is appropriate. (Not made by Sennheiser.)Sound quality seems quite good through my Bose Bluetooth headphones; there is plenty of level available. When using a device like this there will always be latency as the sound is converted to Bluetooth. It is perceivable but if you can deal with lip sync that is a little rubbery it is acceptable - and unavoidable. Just be sure the loudspeakers are off.So far, with only about an hour of use, this is a product I would recommend.

This device allows me to move around without being tethered to my mixer by a headset cable. Now I can audition my projects and go get coffee at the same time. Connections were easy to make. Paired easily with my Bose AE2 Soundlink headset. I noticed a few milliseconds of latency when studio monitors were up. Not a problem for me, especially when simply listening via the headset. Range is good. The BT 100 is upstairs in my studio. No dropouts when downstairs in the kitchen. A side benefit is I can now privately listen to internet music and not bother my wife who prefers different genres. Included instructions are brief. Download the manual available here at B&H.

Good bluetooth sender
12 February 2022

The first bluetooth connection was difficult. Took the sennheiser device into a seperate room to limit the number other bluetooth devices, and connected Bose Sport bluetooth headphones successfully. After the first connection, it connects automatically when the headphones are turned on. Have not try the second headphones yet - but would follow the same procedure.Latency is small but noticeable. For TV films with music or talking it is ok. Anything with exact timing, like tennis, billiards, etc. there is slight latency with the visual strike and sound. Not so bad though. Cannot use bluetooth together with sound from normal speakers. Have to turn the normal speakers off, because of the latency echo of the bluetooth transmission.

Handy Device to Address TV volume woes
19 February 2020

This is another great Senheiser product. Does exactly as it says on the tin - it allows you to connect your bluetooth headphones or earbuds to the transmitter and hear the TV through your bluetooth headphones/buds. Very handy to isolate TV noise to just the headphones if one person wants to watch TV late at night while the other person sleeps, if one person likes a show and the other doesn't, etc.Setup is straightforward once you connect the device to your TV.1. Use the included micro USB cable to connect the transmitter to a powered USB socket (the one in your TV is fine, or you can use an external USB power adaptor)2. The transmitter should be flashing red and blue. If it isn't, hold the power button at the front of the device for ~ 3 seconds. Now the transmitter is looking for bluetooth devices.5. Switch your bluetooth headphones or earbuds to pairing mode and have them in close proximity to the transmitter.6. Voila! You can now hear your TV audio through your bluetooth headphones. I've tested this with both Airpods and Jabra Elite 65T and had no issues.

Not quite right...
2 November 2022

Purchased specifically to allow two people to connect BT headphones to a TV this device works well with either set of headphones, but never for both sets together. Despite attempting multiple times to get it to work as soon as a second set of headphones is connected the first set drops out. Very frustrating and not as advertised or described in the instruction manual. It will be returned.

Pairing Is Quite Problematic
19 November 2021

Writing this review to warn anyone else. I have some expensive Sennheiser PX550 headphones. Since they are the same maker, I assumed this transmitter would easily connect via bluetooth. Boy was that assumption optimistic. Absolute pain in the derriere to connect to Sennheiser, and I often have to go through the kerfuffle of trying to reconnect (sometimes unsuccessfully) after I turn off the headphones to conserve its battery. However, I have a pair of cheap Sony WH-CH510 headphones. Amazingly that connection works much better. And the battery on those headphones last for much longer, I think its about 30-something hours! Moral of story, Sennheiser prices seem incredibly inflated given their mediocre performance.

Product is great and easy to use!

Literally ignore every 1 star review that complains about being unable to pair their headphone to this device. They are written by nothing but turbo-boomers that are clearly on the spectrum. The process to pair these with the BT-T100 was mind numbingly easy; so much so that I am 100% confident that even if I was in a diabetic coma, I would easily be able to do it again for my next set of earphones I buy. Enjoy :)

Very frustrating device
19 December 2022

I bought this adapter thinking that it would go well with my Sennheiser headphones. While the sound quality is good, even very good, the ease of connection is well below acceptable. More often than not it takes two or more attempts to hook up, sometimes requiring repeated on off switching. Frustrating is an understatement. Not really fit for purpose.

Wow what an awesome BT transmitter and receiver
28 December 2022

Ive bought cheaper versions of a BT transmitter and receiver and thought they were good but the Sennheiser is on a completely different level. It connects to my BT hearing aids very quickly and easily and the sound quality is excellent so clear and crisp and it gives a strong and steady BT transmission. Money well spent for such a great listening pleasure.
