I have had these headphones for years. They are so comfortable and have a memory foam cushion that is soft enough to not hurt my earns, but firm enough to not deteriorate and become squished after multiple uses. The sound quality is what you would expect from a Sennheiser headphone product. It’s crisp, while also maintaining depth and bass quality. There is a Bluetooth feature which lets your connect to your phone, which definitely comes in handy while you are on the go and don’t feel like having a headphone jack hanging out, but it also has a removable headphone aux plug in for those who prefer using a cord over Bluetooth. Descent battery life. Overall it produce very nice audio. Bass is just a little too much for my preference but for the most. This will be fine.

Yep battery life is surprisingly long. The one I bought was a used one but still. Descent audio overall. I think it's all about your listening preference. This sony is tuned more towards the pop. So the sound contrast is emphasized. I wish bass is a little less but again it's all about the listening preference or the music genre you listen to the most. When you get a chance try Sony MDR 7506 studio headphone, it's wired. Audio sounds flat but it has very well balanced sound. Of course "balanced" also is a "preference". I own a momentum series (wired one) I like it a little more than this BT one. I am going to try momentum BT soon. anyways hope this helps.

Excellent audio quality and great value for money

Excellent audio quality, with virtually no lag from video. Better than the wired Sennheiser headphones they replaced. From an occasional charge when I think about it, the battery has never gone flat, and I use them for several hours most evenings. No Bluetooth sync issues after initial setup. Bought a second set for my wife to watch TV in bed at night when the kids are asleep. She finds them a little heavy, but then they are full over-ear cups to keep background noise out. Replacement ear pads can be bought quite cheaply online. Decent ratcheting extensions for large heads, and they fold up neatly. IMHO excellent value for money.

Great headphones in everything but comfort
27 February 2020

These headphones are not bad based on their price range. They don't have noise cancelling like their successor, but these headphones have pretty good sound isolation overall. Their is also little sound leakage on these headphones which is great! The sound is good. These headphones tend to be more flat more than anything which some people may not care about but just keep that in mind. This leads to the sound of some songs being widely different than other songs. The only complaint I have about these headphones are how uncomfortable they can get. I have small ears, so the earpads fit just fine for me. That being said, my ears still get hot after wearing these headphones after about an hour. The headband also have little to no padding, which hurts the top of my head ... MoreThese headphones are not bad based on their price range. You could also spend extra money to buy new ear-pads and a cushion for the headband but at that point why not just buy new headphones?

Mediocre headset
9 December 2019

The headset is made very sturdy and definitely is built to last however it ends up feeling rather tight and slightly uncomfortable compared to others headsets of similar price range. The sound is just ok. Often certain songs/sounds will come out a little flat while others sound crisp. There's no real consistency which is bothersome. Another thing that bothers me is the volume, the headset really doesn't get that quiet or loud and has a massive beeping noise whenever you adjust the volume. This was a replacement for my Sony MDR-XB950B1 Noise Cancelling headphones (after the frame became damaged) of which are of a similar price range but sound of much higher quality. My advice would be to get that headset (without the noise cancelling as it's not worth paying extra ... MoreThe headset is made very sturdy and definitely is built to last however it ends up feeling rather tight and slightly uncomfortable compared to others headsets of similar price range. No indication if the headphones are working
26 October 2020

The light indicator did not flash when the HD4.40BT headphones were working. If the headphones are not playing music, it is impossible to determine their current state visually. So I had to turn the headphones on / off to see if they worked.I returned the headphones and bought a more expensive model HD4.50BTNC. Other headphones had a worse feature - beeping at any event. They beeped when a song or video changed, the volume adjusted, the iPad screen waked up, and sometimes for no reason. I returned these headphones too.I have been Sennheiser's fan for many years, and, regrettably, Sennheiser's products' quality has fallen. Not very "fun" to listen to, but not very bad either.

Bought these on sale a bout a year ago. The headphones sound very flat, but that's the thing. For a lot of people, these headphones will sound pretty boring due to nothing in the sound really standing out. The Highs and the Mids kind of blend together, and the bass, while a bit punchy and not very muddy, isn't the most satisfying thing in the world. It doesn't help that these headphones don't seem to sound very clear to me, and that's when running it in wireless on the aptX codec, not SBC. When running these cans wired, they sound pretty good. The sound is a lot clearer, the bass and the vocals being the most obvious, and the Highs and Mids are easier to distinguish from each other. That being said, no one's gonna be buying these to use them wired. These headphones ... MoreBought these on sale a bout a year ago. The headphones sound very flat, but that's the thing. For the average consumer, there are tons of other options out there that provide a more satisfying listening experience for the price. TLDR; If you like a "flat" signature with a bit of low end, these will be for you. for everyone else, get outta here.

Review of HD4.40BT Wireless Bluetooth Headphones - Black

Good Points: 1st design point I chose was the way it folds, different to my more expensive BOSE and same price SONY. This fits in easier into my cabin luggage. I wanted good value phones at mid-price but not expensive noise cancelling model due to environment it is used in, on board seismic vessel which noise cancelling can rid the machineery hum but not the air guns. BT quickly connects once updated BT on my laptop. Voice confirmation of on/off connected / disconnected. Cable has quarter turn connection to Right side earphone to prevent pull out when using wire connect to my phone. Sound quality is good for the environment it is used in where benefit of BOSE would be lost. So far battery duration not run out on me when I charge it every few days.Easy to use. Now my Sony BT pair is redundant while I use the BOSE at home where I could use it's benefit to listen to delicate pieces e.g. Bach Brandenburg Concertoes.Improvement Points: No hard case, just a cloth pocket without even a sprung sunch gadget - you have to tie a knot to keep it closed ! Prefer to be charged extra £5 for a case. Not as comfortable as my pair of BOSE but the surround ear foam cuts out more noise. Good for an hour then have to take it off to let sweat evaporate while I get cup of tea.

Good Points: These headphones are ideal for busy people like myself. They are very portable, their sleek design makes them very eye catching and appealing. The sound quality of the headphones is fabulous. I tried out lots of different types of music with these headphones and all the music played beautifully. As a music student I’m often listening to music around the flat and the reach of these headphones is great. I can leave my phone on charge in my room and go downstairs and will still receive a signal to play the music. The control buttons on the side are perfectly placed for ease when changing volume/ song. The noise cancelling aspect is perfect for busy environments and really really does work! Overall, I think they are a fabulous product that’s anyone of any ages can use. Fabulous gift!Improvement Points: Depending on how big you are as a person, these head phones could be considered chunky. I am a tall person so these headphones don’t look out of place on me, but I can imagine on a small person they’d look rather big. However with that being said, bigger is better!

Solid product for a good price if function is important to you

I knew going into this purchase that these werent going to be audiophile grade sound. I have other headphones (sennheiser as well) that fill the roll of music reproduction. However, I did buy these as an alternative to earbuds at the gym and for that, they are amazing. Traditional earbuds dont anchor in my ears well due to them being quite small. Constantly having to readjust them is uncomfortable and just unsafe. These headphones fit over my ears (because they are very small, if you have larger ears, these will likely sit on top of your ear) very snug and securely. I can swing kettlebells, run, kippup, and even play some 1v1 basketball and not have these move at all.
