We use these headphones while walking/jogging on the treadmill and watching TV. There have been no major complaints from the three of us.I like these headphones except that the earpieces do not completely cover my ears. The headphones could be more comfortable if they were just a bit larger. Otherwise TV voices are easy to hear over the noise of the treadmill without having to make the volume too loud. I can wear the headphones for one hour without having my ears feel fatigued from them.

0.8m base length cable isn't enough even sitting at a desk, but the 5m extension doesn't come with anything to wind it around. Volume control that is built into the extension is unnecessarily heavy and not nearly as comfortable as the HD202

I bought these headphones to watch DVDs on my television, because I find that through the TV's speakers and/or a separate sound system the dialogue quality is generally poor. They have helped a lot, but they cannot improve what I think is poor quality sound in the first place. I don't watch broadcast television so I cannot comment on that aspect. They are certainly good enough and are better than the TV/sound system for my purposes. I don't know whether or not they are the best available because I'm not in a position to try out all of the different headphones available.

I chose these HD 65 TV headphones to watch TV without disturbing others in the house. I considered getting wireless headphones, but there are already too many battery powered devices in my home. I just don't want one more thing that needs constant recharging or battery replacement. I love that these come with the Left and Right Volume control. I also like that they are optimized for spoken voice, but they are still terrific for listening to music. One thing that could be improved: Mark the Right and Left sides more visibly, because it is easy to put them on backwards. I put a white mark on the Right side so I can see it at a glance. The cord is very long (almost 20 feet from plug tip to headphones)
Very convenient for use with TV headphone socket. Volume control on wire is ideal. Very long supplied cable makes it possible to sit at any reasonable distance from TV. Maximum volume in my situation not very high. Audio quality seems adequate to this reviewer, but no more than that.
From this manufacturer, one expects top-drawer goods, and this headset falls short. On the plus side, the two-piece cord set works nicely. The fixed piece is just right for MP3 players while walking. The long cord works well with television sets, including the stereo volume control. It is light and small enough for walking, if only just barely, and the build quality appears adequate. On the down side, the description of this headset as circumaural falls sufficiently short of correctness to constitute deception. The phones do not quite fit around an average size ear. They rest on top of the ear just enough to be irritating. Were it not for this flaw, this product would earn an honest four stars, perhaps even five on a good day.
If you need the ability to vary the channel balance and have no other means to do so, this headset is a fine solution. The physical compression force is tighter than I 'd like, but I hope to reduce the pressure by pulling outward on the headband. I expect that they'll prove more comfortable after further use. This headset is aurally acceptable; my intended application is in listening to audible books.
As a senior with less hearing in one ear, this are what the doctor would order if she were not trying to sell me an expensive aid. I bought this as a back-up for the set I am currently using because I like it so much for watching TV and videos. I have gone through many headsets, but these are the best for understanding dialogue. The higher end sets overwhelm with sound, but voices are lost for me.
Very pleased to get a Sennheiser at this price, for TV only. Sound quality is better than the ancient TDK it replaced, this unit is lighter on the head and nicely padded, and while not noise-canceling I'm now hearing less background noise also.For those who complain about the volume sliders on this model, they seem to be there to reduce/kill audio during commercials. If your TV, like mine, has low headphone audio output you will need a microphone amplifier. Don't expect these headphones to make up for inferior sound output from your TV.
Bought to listen to the TV without disturbing others with loudness.Has individual volume control for L&R and good length of cord,both potentially useful. Required an in line amplifier to obtain adequate volume. Since have tried Senn HD205 which give better volume and have a long enough cord for my purposes,the cord also appears to be better quality and less prone to tangle. The 205 was a more comfotable fit and looks neater.Although it does not have individual volume control, for me it performed better. It is also cheaper.
