I purchased 2 Sennheiser headsets to try out.IE 900 & MOMENTUM True Wireless 2. The issue is that the website clearly mentioned that IE900 comes with 3 cable jacks 2.5mm/3.5mm/4.5mm.I have only received 2.5mm/4.5mm which are useless to me because I need 3.5mm jack to connect to my phone.I have called to Sennheiser head office in Sydney, Australia. One lady asked to send an email so they can order the missing 3.5mm jack from Germany. No responded for a week, called up again, one guy said that this is going to take 3 months and mentioned that the lady who told me may have been temporary stuff and offer a refund.Refund seems to be their preferably solution, as a customer, I would really want to try out the product without getting a refund. Amazing sound and a comfortable in-ear fit

I'm not a hifi expert but I've had a few IEMs over the years and nothing comes close to the IE 900s. The fit is pretty snug in the ear which gives it a noise cancelling feel. The sound is incredibly crisp. I originally bought them to listen to music on the go but find myself reaching for them even at home.Your phone can power them but it doesn't do it justice. I've been listening to them with a Mojo2 and it's a great pairing.They are pricey but definitely worth it if you are looking for a solidly made IEM with incredible sound.

Fantastic but flawed

Best detail I've heard yet from an IEM. Tonally the mids and bass are spot on and I like the bright treble too but it's right on the edge of being overpowering so if you are sensitive to treble you might need to experiment with tips. Also be prepared to upgrade the standard cable because it's not great. I got a 16 core blanced upgrade cable from Ali Express and it's SO much better. When you do upgrade the cable you need to ensure you get one that is designed for Sennheiser IEMs because of their non standard MMCX connector. Having said that, overall I'm really happy with my IE600, which I pair with my FiiO M11 Plus on the 4.4mm balanced plug.

IE 300 & IE 900

This is a review of both the IE 300 and the IE 900. I'll copy paste it in both sections.Firstly, accessories (ear tips and cables) are a massive middle finger from Sennheiser to the buyer. The included silicon tips are absolute bottom barrel trash. They can not seal for me and while pulling one off the IEM it ripped the tip from the stem. The foam tips are useful and help me get a good seal, but I'm using them sparingly, because, like all foam tips they won't be too long lived. Replacement tips?The cable is sticky, tangly, fights you at all times. The cables of the 900 feel a little softer and less sticky, and there are 3 of them, but still these are far form decent for the price. I was reading a discussion on a forum where Sennheiser reps., on being asked if they could recommend a replacement cable asked a person what the problem with the stock cable was.Both the IE 300 and IE 900 are comfortable and after trying different ear tips I've found the best ones for me are the included foamies and Spinfit CP100 plus. It's unfortunate Hpz doesn't sell the CP100 plus. Also sourcing the original foam tips might be a problem. The seal is fidgety and while I can maybe attribute that to my ear shape being wrong, these aren't my first IEMs.Sound is simple. both of these are basically detailed, pleasant with a good amount of bass. Having said that The IE 900 is FAR better than the IE 300s. More resolution, better imaging/ staging and bass. So much so that IMHO the IE 300 are bad value at their price and the IE 900s, while not good value get a pass because the summit fi section has insane pricing anyways.In fact I thought my IE 900s were broken and were imaging off centre because of the extreme positioning capability. I sent them in for warranty and they returned them saying its fine. I was still not convinced and as a final resource played tracks on mono. the image was dead centre. Basically when you have multiple vocalists close to centre, the IE 900 can locate them precisely.This review sounds ranty, and that's unfortunate. The headphones are good but are let down by the absolutely trash accessories. They could learn a thing or two from brands like Fiio. At least the carrying boxes are pretty.Bottom line. IE 300s, OK, but 10k chi-fi is competitive. IE 900s, GOOD. They know it and have priced them accordingly.

IE900 a Keeper!

I bought the IE900 IEMs to use with the A&K SP3000 DAP in situations when my full size headphones were not the right choice. Have they worked out? Oh yeah, these things are very impressive for their size and single driver design. The bass is shockingly good, the mids beautiful, and highs energetic and detailed while not crossing the line. Listening to them in bed in the wee hours last night I played solo piano (Khatia Buniattishvili) and violin (Viktoria Mullova) and practically had an out of body experience caused by the intense beauty of the music. Sure the SP300 contributes but the IE900s do their part too. The 3 cables and assortment of tips were good quality and I’ve had no problems at all with this great product. Highly recommended. The first impression of me was comfort.Then I started playing with Iphoine 12 + 3.5 Jack + Apple Dongle Jack. It's a very simple setup not used any Dac/Amp then I started playing Dangreos By MJ. I can't really explain my experience with the first impression.The instrumental part was Awsome!! Drums have kick bass. Guitar strings will make you simple :) Sound Stage will be like Auditorium. Vocals are a blessing Gift for this IEM. The bass is mindblowing and you keep repeating the song for that kick and experience.You play anything it sounds exactly the same as how the musician thought to deliver the end of the listeners. That all will be delivered without any other expensive AMP DAC. That's the beauty of IE 900.The big joke is it's a 7 MM Driver don't how they designed this IEM. It can be done only with the experience of 75 Years as a sound engineer like Sennheiser.Great Job by Sennheiser Team. I really bow for their work.

Smooth is the word, to explain how it sounds

I didn't expect this kind of sound from this tiny device. Unboxing was underwhelming compared to fiio iems. The tips are okay if you put it correctly. They need to be put very lightly inside ear canal, not too deep, otherwise the tip will collapse and won't sound good. Sound is more detailed than anything I've ever heard. It doesn't sound fatiguing at all. Like i said, it sounds smooth. The azla sednafit light is the tip to go for. I've tried the spinfit cp100+ as well, but the sednafit light sounds the best. Thanks to mr pritam for helping me get the perfect iem for my taste.

Out of the box, the Sennheiser IE 900 IEMs with the medium silicone tips worked beautifully. I am nevertheless not a fan of the decision they made to recess the MMCX connectors and I would really like to find an aftermarket upgrade cable that fits.But the sound! I use the IE 900's with a low-end Motorola Android phone and a Questyle M15 DAC dongle, using the 4.4 Pentaconn balanced connection. And this IEM/DAC combo is incredible. I really can't fault any area; the lows are tight but deep and fast; the highs are light and airy and while not rolled off, they are not relentless or overly bright. The midrange is just gorgeous. Vocals and solo instruments have air, space and definition. They are not recessed but neither do they introduce glare or fatigue. Only thing I noticed that may be less than desirable is a bit narrower soundstage. I get plenty of separation of voices and instruments, and I can catch height and depth cues. Just not as wide a soundstage as some other IEMs I have tried. Having used other IEMs with the Questyle M15, I know that the DAC was never delivering its potential, but it does with the IE 900s. Revealing and detailed--even analytical--but not brash or too bright.One other observation. These are the most comfortable IEMs I have ever used. After a couple of hours, the fit was still correct with no fiddling needed and they seem to disappear in my ears. Highly recommended. Bought from Moon and thanks to them!
