Bought new ear pads to replace the original pair, problem seems to be delimitation. The shiny plastic outer covering of the foam, seems to split and flake off after a very short space of time, leaving just the foam pads.It will be interesting to see how long my new pads last, I do not hold much hope for a long life. For the price of the headphones, one would expect better.
I needed some replacement earpads for my Sennheiser RS 175 Headset - the online assistance with Sennheiser was excellent and even though the OP - RS 165 / RS 175 partswere out of stock they still only took a week to get to me - so comfy too
I have a Sennheiser 170 base station with the wireless earphones and I have been looking everywhere to try and find a suitable replacement for just the ear pads. None of the cheap Chinese made replacements fit into the tabs on the ear phone headset so I had to go to Sennheiser to find an OEM replacement. Although I rate them high in terms of quality, the price seems exorbitant for all they really are. They do not last very long even though all you really do is wear them on your head so I could see I'll have to replace these again in another year. Sennheiser should really think about reducing the price of these pads.
Don't be fooled by the CHEAP knock-offs sold for a few dollars. They are not even close to the OEM (original) Ear Pads. I bought a few pairs of cheap knock-offs to save money and ended up trashing them. The opening for your ears is MUCH smaller and they are not as soft as the originals. Do yourself a favor and get the originals.
