We purchased two of these in September 2017 for outside broadcasts where it would be too tricky (or we're too lazy) to run XLR cables to standard mics. Both mics are always kept in flight cases when not in use, and we've used them each about 5-10 times since purchase. When they work, they're fine, but this week we were running a concert and one of the mics went down - incredibly loud handling noise, even when it was on mute. Luckily, we had a spare set from another company beginning with S that we were able to use in place, so the even wasn't ruined (always carry spares, kids!).No problem, I thought. We have Pro Coverage on this. A nice easy transaction, send the broken device off, and get a replacement or gift card, and buy another of the S companies mics ... No; even with pro coverage, GC wanted us to deal directly with Sennheiser. Who have very short phone hours, an impossible to find website, and you'll need to be on the phone to them to put the right information in on the support form - this product does not even exist, according to Sennheiser. We have this mic (hopefully in a week or two we'll have two of them again). But I'll never buy another Sennheiser product.

We have multiple set of mics but only these sennheiser (we have 2 of these) making weird pop and scratch occasionally. Gain and level all look good, nobody scratching the mic. it just did by itself. everybody in the venue going deaf after this mic.

Bought due to reasonable price and having good experience with other products they make but had not check the reviews on this particular wireless - my bad. Straight out of the box the mic would make static pops so bad when moved it could damage your ears and ruin a PA system. Tried every single channel option and read the terribly poor manual for any insight, with no resolve. Thinking maybe the city I was in could be the problem I tested it in 2 other small towns later that day, with the same results. Turning off the mic power switch also did not stop the crackling. GC service center said they allow mic returns but the local GC store I bought from said they didn't. The service center could not take it back however because they said the local store computer system ... The service center could not take it back however because they said the local store computer system was different than theirs (how cool is that??). They told me to try and find another store that would accept it. Luckily the manager of the Mayfield store was a super nice guy and helped me return it. I even ended up buying a higher end Shure model from him and that mic works and sounds fantastic (better than my wired SM58's). Sennheiser just lost a long time supporter and I may not frequent GC as much now.

I have only used these mics twice for two different events and they have been awesome! One was a Sweet 16 party that featured a special performance by two singers. The second event the mics were used for a wedding gig. I have to say the response and clarity of the mics are good! I did not experience any drop outs. The range was good too. I would definitely recommend this wireless mic package if you are on a budget and do not want to spend $1000+ on a wireless system. I've always known Senneiser to be a good company and I made the right decision on choosing them.
Overall:Bought this mic about 5 years ago and has recently begun to fail. It has been used a few times a week for the past 4 years for karaoke. I also use the 835 which I purchased a year before this mic. The 835 is still going strong. Both have weathered the drops, the bongo taps on the screen, and the drunken disrespect that a karaoke mix goes through. The mic sounds decent but I did replace it with a 835 which is 50$ more. The sound quality for vocals is more than worth the money. And the 835 has less feedback issues. This mic I would purchase for spoken word. Though it is decent for karaoke. These Sennheiser mics are pretty tough for being made from plastic. I used some of the cheapy mics in the past you spend a hundred bucks and they fail without even being ... These Sennheiser mics are pretty tough for being made from plastic. I used some of the cheapy mics in the past you spend a hundred bucks and they fail without even being dropped, so a year later you are spending another hundred and the sound quality stinks. This line of mics is a great starting point for karaoke mics. The e835 hand held has been a rock solid mic for years rivaling the Sure SM58.
It's funny reading all the reviews from other people that have used this mic but really don't know what they are doing when it comes to sound. I have this mic and use it for live performance, often. I never have had a problem with it. If it drops out, I just change the channel. If it has a scratchy noise, that's what the squelch is for. All of this is pretty basic knowledge of a wireless mic. This mic will stand up to any Shure mic and blow it out of the water.
Went there to buy bunch of stuff but ending up buying only one cause they had only one item that I wanted to purchase. But the guy who took my order tried everything to locate in which of their store the other equipment I need. I was able to try the equipment I need in the store and was satisfied with it. This store is one of my to go stores even I don't need anything :)
This product is light weight. It does not come with instructions or a manual. It comes with pictures on how to connect. It has a specification booklet written in several different language but NO instructions or a manual. I guess the German manufacturer either forgot to include one or felt it was not necessary. The Mic does not come with instruction or a manual either. Mic is uni direction, you must speak directly into it. It won't pick up voice from the sides of the Mic. Main disappointment is that it did not come with instructions or manual.
These mics were recently installed. The rep at Sam Ash recommended them. We are thrilled at the quality and sound produced by these mics. Voices are crsip and clear.
I bought one of these for small shows. I'm just getting back into love sound after putting a pause on my career to join the army. SenhizerHas always been a good company and is the little brother to Neumann. I wish it had the slightly nicer 835 head for singing but it works. For singer the 835 is much better and you can get this but with it but it's a bit more. It's ridiculous easy to use and set up but I wish it had a few more options. When it comes to wireless there is no inexpensive option (sorry karaoke/DJ's) there is also no way to rack mount this it's just not an option. Still I'm glad it's in my box as I'm growing my gear and it will end up as a B backup or used for speaking events.
