Septone Paint Stripper is a phenolic based heavy duty paint remover designed especially for the stripping of specialist automotive coatings, including the stripping of acrylic lacquer and two pack polyurethane paints. It is also able to remove most types of architectural paints and varnishes. Note: This product is not recommend for use on wooden surfaces that are planned to be clear lacquered because it will cause irreversible staining of the wood. Chrome, perspex rubber and plastic components can have an adverse effect occur when using this product. It is also not recommended for use on fibreglass gelcoat. Application: Mask off all areas to be protected from the Stripper. Lightly score the paint to allow for faster and more effective use of the stripper. Apply a thick coat of the stripper to the surface and do not disturb it until the paint has completed blistering and softening (Around 15 minutes). Then scrape off the paint from the surface going over with an abrasive like steel wool if any residue is left behind.
