Great Value for 4K Video and Stills Bursts

I bought this card because I already have 2 of them and they've been fail-safe for a couple years. Sony is a trustworthy brand and B&H is a trustworthy dealer. I don't chance counterfeits. It's a great value for the storage size and speed--great for high frame-rate 4K and 6K video, as well as, high-res stills bursts in my Canon and Sony cameras.

I bought this back in 2020 using it with my Canon 5D MKIII, EOS R, and now with Sony a7R V but it would error that this card cannot be read. I didn't know there was a recall until 3/31/2024 so called them having two replaced so it can read. Otherwise, it's been a solid memory card for both photos and 4K videos!I hope the link is okay but here's the actual recall site: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/memory-cards-sd-cards/sf-g128t/articles/00246463

I bought a Leica Q2 and love the new sensor (47mpixels). But, as everybody warned, the image files are much larger. I am uploading to my Mac Book Pro via USB C and the Sandisk SD Card dongle.I found this card after much shopping and feel the price is pretty reasonable for the capacity and UHS-II interface. Stayed away from other online stores (Amazon) after all the horror stories of fake cards and believe B&H delivered the real deal, as I expected. The upload speed to my Mac is, frankly, startling. Much, much faster than experienced with a UHS-! card uploading the files from my D810.The takeaway is that UHS-II is very worthwhile. If you camera supports it, get a SD card with it. You will be very satisfied with the results.

[Rewarded Review] Fast and reliable
29 March 2022

I use these cards with a Fujifilm X-T3 and they work great. The 4K 400mbps isn't a problem for this card both in shooting and in playback. Shooting compressed raw at 11fps also works quite well and the buffer clears very quickly. The SF-G would be even quicker, but for my uses this is plenty fast. I shoot a fair amount of live music photography and use 11fps pretty often and I have never run into any issues. I can shoot the 11fps for a while before the camera slows down, and then the buffer completely clears in seconds and I can get back to 11fps. The price to performance ratio of this card is great and I would recommend it to just about anyone.

[Rewarded Review] Great card for new Sony FF cameras. Just the right speed/$
31 December 2019

Card seems very solid. Slightly snug fit into all the SD card slots where I tried it, but no issues inserting or ejecting (tested in multiple cameras and card readers, tested several insert/eject cycles in each).I verified the write speed is about 150MB/s which is just enough for the fastest Sony FF mirror-less bodies. With a card reader (UHS-II) I was able to xfr files to my computer at about 250MB/s which seems reasonable. Copying files from the card onto my computer takes MUCH less time than with a typical (UHS-I) card.I believe most people can take advantage of the 277MB/s read speed, as long as they have a true UHS-II card reader and a relatively modern laptop/computer. And very few cameras today can use significantly more than 150MB/s write or V60 write ... MoreCard seems very solid. By the time I can actually use a card that is faster than this one, I can probably use the money I saved today to buy another card that is even faster than 300/300.

[Rewarded Review] The Best I’ve Used
19 June 2024

Have always used fragile Sandisk and those type of cards for over 20 years only to have them literally come apart or become corrupt. I guess I can’t really complain being how reasonably priced (cheap) they were (are). After using these Sony Tough cards, I feel my media is definitely more secure in this housing. While definitely more expensive, the cost is worth it. Wouldn’t have it any other way with my FX30.

[Rewarded Review] This new version is after revocation. And she has problems
24 November 2020

Hello dear seller! I ran into problems while using this memory stick. At first it worked perfectly and did not raise questions. But then it caused the Canon P6 to hang when trying to take frames on this memory card. It was at the beginning of the wedding day, I was shocked and urgently replaced this memory card with a spare SanDisk. Then I did tests on a computer and saw that the write speed dropped from 120 megabits per second to 4-5 Mebagits per second. After formatting, I tried to use it in fujifilm GFH50R and there it showed a low speed. Now I'm throwing files off it and the reading speed has dropped to the level of a cheap slow memory card. The official program says that everything is in order with the memory card, but real tests say that it is defective.
