I purchased a Shark hand held cordless vacuum 3 years ago, so an older model, and loved it, wore it out. And I own an upright Shark which I'm very happy with. I purchased this new model UltraCyclone Pet Pro on the strength of my satisfaction with the last model to use every day for pet hair and general quick cleanup. I am very, very disappointed with the UltraCyclone as it does not compare with the previous model. The suction in the UltraCyclone is poor; the power switch is poorly located --if you are right handed you naturally hold the handle with your thumb extended toward the power switch and your thumb hits the power switch by mistake so the machine keeps turning on and off. The charge only lasts about a half a hour. I wish I could still purchase the previous model.

This one is identified to use with pet hair and very light weight. I wasn't sure the shipping box had anything it it. Since the recipient who has 2 golden retrievers who love the sofa it should be a perfect fit for her. I noticed that others had posted that you had to purchase a charging stations separately But, it is not available on Wayfair. I checked out the Shark website and what I found was an item to mount it on a wall for about $22-$25. I ordered one and I am sorry I did. With the tax and shipping it was about $45 and turns out to be just a flimsy piece of plastic. As a result, this vacuum is not a good choice for weighty detritus - it just doesn't have the suction or air speed to pick up heavier materials. The smaller attachments cover very little surface area, so it's not a good choice for big spills, either. It does great on pet hair & dander, cat litter, dust & other lightweight materials though.The new Pet Power Brush attachment is a definite improvement over previous revisions. I have used it in my car and on furniture too. Battery recharges within 3-4 hours. It lasts about 20 or 25 minutes with consistent use. I can usually leave it off the charger for a week and use it once or twice a day or a minute or two. Parts of it can be tricky when putting it back together after cleaning - like sliding the body back on the battery/handle. Shark meets car/small mess

This little Shark keeps true to its brand. Excellent build quality and pretty lightweight. One thing I personally love is the quality of the seals. Other vacuums I’ve had in the past would almost always fail at the seals. This one keeps a very strong suction for the entire use. The attachments are the appropriate size to match the needs and cleaning areas. Of course with everything there is some short comings. The major one is battery life. If you have a mess ensure you have everything then make sure its ready to be vacuumed. You only get about ten minutes of battery usage. The power head would be better in ny opinion if it would flex but not a deal breaker. Lastly I wish it could be used while plugged in, but unfortunately its battery or nothing.

After reading all the reviews, good and bad, I decided to go ahead and purchase the Shark Ultra Cyclone 951 handheld cordless vacuum. I already have the Shark WV200 for several years and love it. I needed something that was going to work on fur; crazy stick to everything fur. Most importantly fur stuck on the carpet of the rug in my truck. By itself, it does not work as promised. Yes it picks up some of the fur, but the hairs that weave themselves to the carpet, remain. The vacuum button is in a dumb place. I kept turning the unit off by accident. It’s not incredibly heavy.
