Amazing product but with a few issues.Cleans floors brilliantly, but can't clean very well under tables or units as roller comes away from the floor as unit does not fall flat like the vacuum. If you have any stubborn dried on marks, they will come off easier if you move the mop from left to right as the roller goes round. This gets stubborn marks off a lot quicker that just rolling over.... again and again! We have pets an I am amazed at the amount of debris this mop also picks up, fluff, food bits when cooking etcAnother problem is the fact this mop also does not get right to the edges, which is something we are always complaining about as no point mopping with this device to then have another device just to do the edges that is extremely dissapointing! Being able to get into the corners and egdes and mop under the furniture without having to move them, this Cordless Hydrovac will definitely be 5 star worthy.

I bought the Bissell prior to this mop and found it dumped dirt on my floor everytime I went over a bump like from hard floor to carpet which was terrible as you'd have a stain on the carpet from it and have to spend ages getting that out. I thought it was a product fault. I returned it to Bissell got another one and it did the same one. Had many other faults as well as leaking solution tub on second one.Anyway have been looking for something to replace it. At half the cost of the Bissell I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. It seems to clean well. I have a long coated Shepherd and it sucks up the hair and sand he leaves in rugs easily. I have a long coated Shepherd and it sucks up the hair and sand he leaves in rugs easily. I have one rug that has a bumpy pattern where I had to go a bit slower and at different angles but this was the same for the Bissell as well. Hair still got caught on the top cover of the mop like the Bissell but didn't stop it from cleaning well. Emptying the container is easier and faster than the Bissell. And the cover and mop head is super easy to remove as well. There's also a lot less sand left in the cleaning station as with the Bissell it was always left super dirty, so dirty in fact that you couldn't just wipe it as you can with this station easily. The self cleaning cycle is quick and it uses less water than the Bissell. The machine actually moves itself forward as it cleans so it's a bit harder to pull back but I could do it even with a bad back and use very little grip with a really well designed handle. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I wish it had a boost function for spot cleaning rugs better and maybe the head could use a few bristles or even if it included this as a choice to buy for a deeper clean and for scrubbing dirtier surfaces. The other things they could include instead is just a handled bristle brush that connects to the hydrovac somehow for spot cleaning and edges as it doesn't get right to the edge, but the Bissell was the same. This is a really great machine for the price. Be aware this is not a dry only vacuum and it does actually say this so a few reviews are saying how bad it is as a dry vacuum when it doesn't do this but I use my stick Dyson for this but this does an absolutely amazing job. I hate mopping floors and with a dog and dog training clients my rugs get very dirty but this is amazing. Sucks up an amazing amount of dirt. Also let's out the perfect amount of water on the hard floors to dry quickly. Really great.Love mopping my floors now.Just use it slowly on the rugs to get a better finish. Really happy with it.

We bit the bullet and purchased this yesterday. We already own the shark hoover and the steam mop and scrub as well as other mops that we use twice a day. We have laminate flooring downstairs as well as 2 children and a dog. We as a household take shoes off as we come home and change mop heads after every use.We were dubious to try this hydrovac, but after using it for the first time today - I can honestly say it is the best purchase we have made! The dirt it has picked up from what we thought were already clean floors made me feel sick to my stomach but also amazed! The water was practically black! We then tested the floors with a floor wipe afterwards, usually when we do this it brings up a brown dirt colour regardless of how much we have cleaned - after using ... MoreWe bit the bullet and purchased this yesterday. Very minimal assembly needed out of the box. Lightweight and really easy to use, glides across the floor so no great effort to use, in fact it’s probably easier to use than a standard vacuum. What I liked about it was the ease that it effortlessly cleaned up spills, large and small particles on the hard floors, took a bit longer on the rugs but did manage it. When emptying the solids container I would advise opening it over a bin to avoid clogging the sink.Doesn’t leave the floor very wet, no sticky residue and streak free. Although ultimately a hard floor cleaner I used it on my rugs too, they were completely dry in about 15 minutes. Using the cleaning solution left the whole area smelling very clean and fresh. Although ultimately a hard floor cleaner I used it on my rugs too, they were completely dry in about 15 minutes. Using the cleaning solution left the whole area smelling very clean and fresh. I think a choice to different scents for the solution would be a good option for some variety. The charger is a base unit rather than just charging a battery. The base unit in itself is quite big, obviously, bigger than the bottom of the machine, so you need to have a decent storage area, or utility room for it, which I do not have in my house. If you don’t have a cupboard with an electric socket in to charge then you would need to bring the whole unit out to charge, although a full charge only took me about 3-4 hours, but I personally wasn’t keen on having it in the living room just sitting there charging up. The base unit does however have a space where we put the roller to dry out also a space to hold the filter, which I think is what makes it bigger than it needs to be. You could use these spaces for putting spare rollers and filters in.My favourite part about this machine was the self cleaning feature. Took just a couple of minutes and saved on having to manually having to clean it, although we did clean the filter through after use, as bits of fluff and hair were caught in it.Overall, this is a brilliant machine for people with children, and those with pets. It’s quick to grab and clean up any spills immediately, as well as being perfect for doing a deep clean. Gave this a 4 star rating as the charging base is to chunky to store easily.
I was interested in this mop as I like the idea of a constant stream of clean water being drawn across the brush whilst cleaning the floor as with a traditional mop or steam cleaner, after one swipe your just wiping a soiled cloth/mop over the rest of the floor. I have 4 young children with toddlers home during the day, so finding a window to clean the floor and let it dry is a struggle-I have to say this mop cleans and dries very quickly! It has made a quick lunchtime mop possible, daily if required with the added benefit of being able to run over area rugs for a freshen up. I love the fact it self cleans after each use, but storage is an issue if you are going to leave it in the dock plugged in until next use. I love the fact it self cleans after each use, but storage is an issue if you are going to leave it in the dock plugged in until next use. What I would say is this is not a deep cleaner, more of a glorified spray mop. It gives a good wipe over. The other issue is it does not reach right up to edges and into corners so this will require going over. It is a good for ‘in between’ deeper cleaning to keep things fresh. It is also quite light to push around. Would definitely recommend for that purpose.
I am fully satisfied. It is a device that rinses the top of the roller during washing, so that the roller does not smear dirt on the floor, and the dirt used water is immediately sucked into the tank.I bought this device after watching a review by my favourite presenter. He is very objective and very reliable in his assessment. Worth to watch:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaJqapTvISMI have two devices: a steam mop with rotating inserts (also shark) and this device. They completed each other beautifully. One washes the floors under a steam, the other one thoroughly wipes all the dirt.I use it alternately. And I'm always surprised by the colour of the used water, even though the floors are washed quite often. It is worth to buy.
Very light, easy to use machine. Bought as my Bissell cordless crosswave broke and didn't fancy another £450 to replace it. Only used a couple of times so far and I'm very impressed!Much lighter than the crosswave and lifts difficult marks much more efficiently. The Shark Hydro struggles getting close up to the edges (as does most) You'll need a floor cloth for those bits.I wish the water had an off button so it could be used for vacuuming only and the water tank is a tad small for my needs. Not a major issue. What I really don't like is how emptying is a very mucky job. The dirty tank is fiddly, a lift out filter would be perfect.I do like this machine very much and trust me, I have had many!I Wouldn't change back to a Bissell. Great value and efficient cleaning
The Shark HydroVac is fantastic and has changed my life, literally.I run a small pottery business from my garden and am either making things to take to market or having students in the classroom for wheel throwing lessons. Either way, it’s messy.Clay dust is very dangerous so I can’t use a sweeper or vacuum to clean the floors and the HydroVac is the perfect solution. It effortlessly cleans up all the wet clay before it dries and turns to dust. All without stirring up the air and it saves time and energy compared to wet mopping and rinsing. The Hydrovac is a game changer for me and I’m recommending it to all my pottery friends. It is so great I bought another one for the house too.Thank you Shark. Xx
I have been using the Hydrovac for a few days now and I honestly don't know how I survived without it. It is easy to assemble straight out of the box and the box has a set up guide on it so you don't need to read the booklet to put it together. My initial thoughts was how light it was, I'm disabled so a normal hoover can be too heavy for me to use but this is lighter and makes cleaning easier for me.After assembling the HydroVac I left it to charge on its charging base which is quite big and at first I was unsure if I had it sitting on it correctly bit I had. It took roughly 3 hours to fully charge although the booklet suggests you leave it for 4 hours before the first use. It took roughly 3 hours to fully charge although the booklet suggests you leave it for 4 hours before the first use. There is a battery indicator on the top of the unit so you can easily tell if it is fully charged and it switches off when it reaches full. There is space on the unit to store the rollers and solution etc which I find handy.First impressions were good but I thought the water unit was very small and there was no way I could do my living room and hall without having to refill it but I was wrong. I live in a 2 bedroom flat and was able to do my living room, kitchen, hallway and bedroom without needing to top up the water tank. I found that the machine glides over the floor well and not much effort is required to move it. It almost moves itself when going forward. When switched on it isn't loud, and initially I thought this doesn't sound powerful so I don't know how good it's going to be. I need not have worried as it picked up everything with ease. I have a dog so was worried it wouldn't get the hair and put it to the test on my rug. There is a button to switch into rug refresh mode which is at the top of handle and the adjustment was flawless. I was surprised how well it cleaned the rug and didn't leave it soaked either. It's definitely a game changer when having a dog.The mop function is great as it doesn't leave the floor overly wet and dries in a matter of minutes which is much better than using a mop. I didn't find the solution had much of a smell though but maybe I'm not putting enough in. TlI was able to do my whole flat on 1 charge and there was plenty of battery life left. I'm sure if you had bad stains etc it would last long enough to get rid of them. Upon finishing the floors, to say I was disgusted was an understatement. The water in the dirty tank was brown, it looked like tea even though the floors had been mopped 2 days prior. The amount of dog hairs in the sectioned off part of the dirty tank was shocking, I truly didn't expect this small Hydrovac to lift so much. I was instantly telling my friends and as they said, at least you know it works. Emptying the tank is simple, you just press a button lift it off pour out the dirty water first. Then you lift up the filter and I recommend you empty the dirty pieces over a bin. Rinse out the tank and filter and leave to dry.The Hydrovac has a self clean mode which you activate when it's on the charging base, you set it on the base and press the on button and it instantly gets to work. It takes a matter of minutes and is useful so you don't have a smelly unit sitting around. It isn't loud when in the self clean mode. You then empty the tanks and leave everything to dry.As a disabled mother with a dog the Hydrovac will change my cleaning regime for the better. Making it easier and taking less time. It'll also make it cleaner as you can see how clean the floors are via the dirty tank. I honestly don't know how I lived without it before now but so glad I have it now. I have been recommending it to everyone and from the pictures you can see why.
I first saw this mop being used in a shop in Spain to clean the tiled floor. I thought wow that’s such a good idea for a heavy traffic area (the floor was very impractical for a shop - white tiles) it was bringing everything off seamlessly. I purchased it immediately. When I came back to the UK I then purchased it again for my UK home where my dog lives. Again, great results however you do have to empty the dirty water tank and filter after every use if you have pets because if you don’t the next time you use it, it will smell of foist. If you don’t have pets you can leave the dirty water tank to near full capacity before emptying it. That’s what I’ve found anyway with having one home with a pet and one without. I do buy the recommended cleaning fluid. Although yes ... MoreI first saw this mop being used in a shop in Spain to clean the tiled floor.
