I LOVE almost everything about this beast of a cordless vacuum! i would put it up against any brand of vacuum out there for this price. I love how big the cup is that holds the dirt. I do love how you can lean the vacuum against the wall, and it stays there because of the rubber stoppers.

This is a third purchase of this little cordless vacuum. I bought two for my home and one for my sister at Christmas that she loved! Hers was the flex pet version. She has arthritis and had trouble getting under her large furniture pieces on her knees. She tried it out as soon as she opened it. At my behest I must add. Quickly she assembled it herself and it has a startup charge luckily. The first thing she said was: “Wow”! You get it” ! As she directed her path to her hardest to reach furnishing and released the latch on the wand to get underneath and she stood in amazement. I was glad it all worked perfectly on her trial use and she was thrilled to get more done so easily after a full recommended charging. Mine is great, light, portable charges quickly after each use. I unplug to manufacturer suggestion and store it upright on a small carpet by laundry room. It slides by itself in the newest version. I like the assist on my new huge pile carpet and my vinyl plank without any problem or loss if suction. There’s a surge power button under handle if small corners are tough to clean thorough. Does the trick usually. Attachment will be used a lot. It’s so great!

Disappointed with this vacuum. It had good reviews but I obviously did not do enough research before purchasing. It has an enclosed battery which I did not realize. Once the battery runs down there is no way to snap in another battery. Run time is ok but not sure it goes the 40 minutes on solid floor surfaces. It does not have a light. Us old folks need the light to help us see what we are vacuuming. The sweeper does not stay latched when you carry the vacuum. It leaves a fair amount of debris when you pull it back. It has tiny wheels that get pet hair wrapped around them. You have to get tweezers to help pull the hair out. I accidentally ran over some pet urine and could not figure out how to release the roller to wipe it down good. The roller does not wrap pet ... MoreDisappointed with this vacuum. The instructions say to hang it by the hook. What hook? Are they talking about the handle. I keep mine in a closet and don’t hang it. I have an older model Shark vacuum and it seems to do a little better job. However you have to detach the roller to clean off the hair. It also has small wheels that get clogged with pet hair. Hopefully Shark can come up with a release button to remove the wheels for better cleaning. Overall I guess it’s ok.

My 1st Shark Disappointment
25 August 2024

I have always been a Shark vacuum person. That's all I have ever used and to give this such a low rating is very disappointing. Several things I want to mention. First is it's extremely heavy on the top side. Making it uncomfortable if you are trying to vacuum you whole house. I do not have any carpet in my house and 2 dogs that shed a lot so I vacuum multiple times a week if not daily. 2nd it does not have any LED lights on the front of the vacuum to make it easier to see dirt and dust. 3rd there was no wall mount for storage. I realize that this model collapses down but you don't have any where to store your accessories which is bothersome. 4th and probably one of the major things for me is suction power. I realize that this model collapses down but you don't have any where to store your accessories which is bothersome. 4th and probably one of the major things for me is suction power. I've never had any issue with suction power with my previous Sharks, that is the MAIN reason I love them so much. In order to use the "boost" mode on this model, you have to pull the trigger and hold it. I have to use the boost mode for my whole house. There is another issue with the suction power and it does not pick up all the visible trash. When you make a swipe over visible trash it doesn't suck it all up, it will push a portion using the back brush and you have to try it again with next swipe. 5thproblem is the dust cup. There has not been a single time that I have not had to put my hand in there and get hair off of it. I don't like having to stick my hands in what I've just cleaned... I'm very disappointed with my purchase.

Pretty good, but not great.

The last time we bought a vacuum was in 2014 and it was a shark. It worked so well we decided to buy another Shark and wanted to try out the new cordless ones.. We went with this one mainly due to price, that it had a rubber roller instead of the normal bristled one and it is collapsible to be able to fit under chairs, couch, etc.We do not have carpet, only 1 area rug that is shag, 2 dogs that do not shed and no kids. We do live rural so a lot of dust and the occasional leaf gets in the house. It has 2 controls, 1 for bare floor and 1 for carpet, it also has a turbo trigger. It moves smoothly over the floor and on the rug. When it does pick up a stray strand of hair it just comes right off the roller. The canister will come off and you can add 1 of 2 attachments, a ... MoreThe last time we bought a vacuum was in 2014 and it was a shark. When it does pick up a stray strand of hair it just comes right off the roller. The canister will come off and you can add 1 of 2 attachments, a dusting brush or a long nozzle. It is in my opinion too heavy to be able to use to go along your ceiling to catch the occasional web and I just tried it out using it to vacuum the vehicles and was a little disappointed. If you just need to vacuum the floorboards it's OK, but you can get under the seat or in between the console and seats because the canister gets in the way.My wife did say that it does not fit under the couch when the stick part is collapsed.I gave 4 stars due to there not being any way to see how much of charge is left, it not fitting under furniture unless there is 6 inches or more clearance and the canister being a tad bit too heavy.Great for just using as a vacuum, but if you're wanting something to clean the car with, to get in tight spaces or use above you're head I would look for a different model.

Good purchase. This is my first cordless vacuum, and it cleans wood, tile and carpet well. The charge lasts long enough to do my whole home in one go. I was concerned about it working on memory foam bath mats but its been better than my regular vacuum. My only complaints are the vacuum does not have "headlights" which is great for seeing the dirt in darker corners. There is no place to hook attachments to the vacuum so you have to keep them separate and go get them when you need to use them. I have adjusted to this by doing the basic vac and then going back to hit the spots I use the attachments for. My final issue is the dust cup. Again, none of these are deal breakers compared to the positives of not dealing with a cord, and being able to get under furiture so much easier. Overall im very happy with my purchase, and when it eventually comes time to get a new one will probably upgrade to one of the pro models. One note regarding the shipping. As you can see in my photo, Walmart ships this in a box that very clearly states what is inside, which makes this a target for theives, particularly this time of year when people are porch shopping for Christmas.

Stopped working after 5 uses in 39 days.
9 July 2024

This is my 4th Shark vacuum. I usually get a few years out of them and get a new one when it loses suction. I should have returned this one the first time I used it because it gets clogged super easy, which is frustrating for a vacuum specifically for pets. But it worked well and was easy to unclog. I kind of blamed myself -- if I vacuumed more often, it wouldn't get clogged as easily, right? But then today, it stopped working mid-vacuum. No clog. Still charged. Just stopped working. Checked to see if I was within the return time, and I'm 9 days late. So I'm out $200. I do not recommend this vacuum.

The worst stick vacuum we have ever had…
8 June 2024

We are really disappointed as it does not even come close to the cheap sticks we have owned previously. I thought purchasing a Shark the thing would be designed and run right. Here are the let downs you can expect.1. No front light2. Turn radius is very small and makes it awkward to use, always having to pick up the vacuum and repositioning to get around things.3. Floor attachment sticks in the air (storage position) while you are vacuuming if you bring the vacuum even slightly upright while in use.4. No wall mounted storage/dock for when not in use. Now it just gets knocked around my laundry room and scuffs up my walls.5. The stick with bend in the middle is really useless.6. Floor attachment is loud.7. Floor attachment is not very wide.

There are better vacuums
10 January 2024

The suction on this vacuum is okay, the battery really sucks. And it sucks even more that it’s not detachable so you can buy a spare to charge. I hate having to wait three hours to vacuum the second half of my home. Which isn’t even big! I had a craftsman stick vacuum with two batteries that I absolutely loved. But am waiting on a replacement part so I was just going to buy a new and improved vacuum as my craftsman is well loved for the last four years. I will be returning this and waiting for my part from craftsman. The suction is better, it has light, removable battery, and is half the price. If you’re considering this vacuum I suggest you keep looking.

ive been wanting a cordless vac for a while now figuring would make my least favorite chore more desirable, and boy was i right. we've had it for 3 months now and i could never go back. the bending feature to get under stuff is a dream. its very quite and doesnt bother the cats like our old one did. we have an average size 2 bedroom apartment a ling haired person and 2 cats and it handles us great. I've never had to empty it mid job but imagine itd be nessicary of you had a larger space. we could get 2 full uses on one charge but always plug it in when not in use. havent used it in the car yet but cant wait. only minor minor minor gripe is that it doesnt stand up on its own but thats kind of standard and if im loking for something bad to say.
