This microwave was purchased to replace our 14 year old RV Sharp convection/microwave.the old one was used nearly every day, all features, and bounced around the country for over 14 years. This model is a slightly lesser model, but very close. So far, it seems to function as expected over the last month of travelling. Surprised when boiling and cooking spaghetti, after 13 minutes, the space in between the glass in the door started steaming up. Then figured out I needed to turn on the fan to eliminate that problem. Only real criticism I have, is the display is very dim, but works ok.

I purchased the microwave to replace the one in my twenty-five year old motorhome. It is getting hard to find replacements for something this old!Suprised that it was an exact fit, without having to modify anything. Everything functions so well making it a joy to use. It does a great job; baking, roasting, defrosting, and yes it easily cooks everything. Excellent product and super easy to understand it's functions. Highly recommend!!

Best In EVERYTHING. Used this very same appliance in an older model while living in a relative's motorhome. Used it for about ten years and I cried when I built my new house and couldn't use that wonderful appliance any longer. Had all new appliances, but I didn't know that Sharp also made these for home use as well. I thought it was strictly an appliance made for RV motorhome kitchens. So dummy me got the closest thing I could find to Sharp's Convection/Microwave in a Frigidaire brand. So, I got my dream double oven from Frigidaire as well. BOTH BIG MISTAKES!! Finally found out that I CAN have a wonderful, beautiful, awesome perfect Sharp Convection/Microwave just like the old one I loved for so many years. If they did, I would rip that other POS out and buy a Sharp in that appliance too. Sharp Convection/Microwaves are the ABSOLUTE BEST APPLIANCES EVER!! In fact, my review today is not even for those two Sharps I already mentioned. In fact, THIS review is for the newest Sharp Convection/Microwave oven I purchased last September for the same relative whose old RV I used to live in. As he now owns a newer old motorhome, he needed to replace the ...you guessed it....Sharp Convection/Microwave it alreadyhad that was falling apart from so much use. So, naturally, we replaced it with another wonderful Sharp Convection/Microwave oven. And, it is purring like a kitten!! You can cook ANYTHING in these babies and it will come out perfect every single time. The touchscreen are extremely intuitive, well laid out, easy to customize. I have personally bake and roasted whole chickens, stuffed chickens, pork loins, cakes, cookies, brownies, casseroles, grilledvegetables. Grill the quickest, easiest, best tasting fresh salmon steaks in it with no mess to clean up afterwards!! Also has an awesome cookbook that has numerous pictures and detailed explanations in it as to all of its capabilities. Plus, the operating manual is written by pros!! Everything in plain English. Great photos, guidance, and recipes.

I'm super-picky about the option-pad and handle on my microwave, and this one is perfect. You can either just add minutes OR start typing in the time without having to press a "cook time" button. Setting the clock is very easy as well. Handles have a tendency to break and are harder to clean, so the push-button is great. The convection feature is nice when re-heating things like pizza - or really anything that needs a bit of crisping/browning. I've had this since 4/2021 and wouldn't want any other microwave!
We purchased this connection microwave to replace a similar unit for out motorhome. Although it's not an inexpensive unit, The Brick had the best price and delivery for it. It arrived undamaged and I installed it in about an hour. I would purchase this again from The Brick if we had to.
On day one of having this installed in our RV, there has been moisture accumulating in between the panes of glass in the door. It has happened whenever it cooks on microwave for more than just a few minutes. The moisture does go away after it finished cooking.I contacted Sharp customer service and their response was this normal operation. I contend this is not normal, I have had numerous other microwaves including some Sharp models where this did not happen.f They told me they would escalate my issue but I am getting the same response or no response when I contact them again. In my opinion, Customer Service is ignoring me and hoping I will just give up instead of Sharp taking responsibility for a defective product.I would just return the product to Home Depot as ... MoreOn day one of having this installed in our RV, there has been moisture accumulating in between the panes of glass in the door. In my opinion, Customer Service is ignoring me and hoping I will just give up instead of Sharp taking responsibility for a defective product.I would just return the product to Home Depot as it has not even been 30 days now, but I had to use their Pro-Referral service for installation at a cost of $120. I would have to pay them to remove it and also then to re-install the replacement. I am tempted to do that but am afraid the replacement would be junk as well.
I replaced my original Sharp microwave/convection oven. The original lasted 17 years and operated beautifully. After the original failed I looked up the model number on the web and found this model to be an exact replacement. There were some alterations that were required to match the install but it was not difficult. Delivery was quick. Price was below what camper suppliers were offering. Very satisfied.
My main complaint is the cheapening of the overall product. The mounting system in particular. The older version had two stout mounting plates with solid hooking system to lock it to the wall. The newer version has a one piece mounting plate with a flimsy locking system depending on some folded sheet metal pieces to which long, thin poor material screws are supposed to reach from the bottom front of the oven. The screws are so cheap that the hex head corners will round off very easily. And they seem to bottom out before that actually contact the metal underneath the heads making one concerned at how close to the mounting plate the oven is actually. And they seem to bottom out before that actually contact the metal underneath the heads making one concerned at how close to the mounting plate the oven is actually. Not confidence inspiring that the oven is securely attached against the mounting plate. And it appears it would not take much force for these screws to break.Additionally the oven does not align correctly to the mounting plate. So aligning the mounting plate leaves the oven uneven slightly lower on one side and sticking out slightly from the cabinets. The older oven had no such issues. The two screws that mount to the top of the oven through the overhead cabinet use cheap squeezed in place threaded inserts in the top sheet metal. One pull out of the top as soon as any real force was applied. These are the fasteners that are supposed to keep the oven from leaning out and off the wall. In the end it took a 1/2 inch sheet metal screw to fit in the hole left in the top. And of course these inserts are in a different location to the original thus requiring new holes be located and drilled in the above carinet floor. But at least I feel more comfortable that the oven isn't likely to just fall off the wall when the Motorcoach is traveling down the road. The overhead light is not nearly as bright as the original and the over doesn't come with the little heat deflector shield that mounts to the bottom front.Let's just hope that it operates reliably, the previous one lasted 20 years, I'll keep my fingers crossed for this one. But the signs of "cheapening " the produce are unfortunately apparent.
The convection oven has many nice features. I’m still learning them. I love that there is no need to swap out racks for the oven to microwave. I wish it had a “push for 10 seconds” button that pressing multiple times adds more 10-second intervals. But the 1-minute button can be pressed multiple times to add more minutes, so that works good for longer cooking. The light below/under the oven doesn’t work with LED bulbs. The clock needs to be just a little bigger to better read from across the room. It’s a huge improvement from the older unit I had with a pull door, external dial, and metal rack to insert to use the oven. Overall, I love the color black with stainless and it cooks everything perfectly!
I purchased an RV with one of these built into it in Jan 2015. Nearly 3 years later (Dec 2017), the fan went bad on the oven. Oven number two lasted from Dec 2017 to May 2020 (and this time, I'd left the RV for a short time - and the heat in the oven was so high due to no fan that I returned to an RV full of smoke - thank god it did not start a fire, but let me tell you cleaning an RV over-fun with smoke was no fun and not easy - never leave this oven unattended even though it does have a timer/shut off).I probably foolishly replaced it yet again with the exact same model - (with it being built in, I wanted to be assured of the correct fit in the hole).Oven number 3 lasted from May 2020 to Dec 2022 - so right on time, it has gone bad again. If the convectin ... MoreI purchased an RV with one of these built into it in Jan 2015. Note it has always been the fan that goes bad in the oven - and they part is not readily available to just replace it instead of the entire unit.I would highly recommend the extended service plan on this or better yet, look for a different model - which is what I now intend to do. 3 ovens in 8 years pretty much proves it does not hold up over continual use.
