Of course its plastic ,the body, What is not these days . This shape is very easy to use, I had one of those white and blue worms for many years that work very well on knives. I have use this on knives, pruners, loppers I was just about to do my axe . Its easy to use and it comes with instructions if youre not sure about what to do. A helpful little thing

Wow this sharpener is of great quality and I used it on some older garden tools and worked great. Now I don't have to hassle to bring blades to a hardware store and wait for a week or two because they are too busy to do it right away. I was able to bring back a 50 year old Swiss Army Knife that I got in 1970 and re-use again like new! Too bad it does'nt do the serrated [jagged] edge knives so I'll have to get another sharpener to do that and I would;ve gladly paid a few dollars more for that feature added onto it. But for what blades/knives it does do is worth the $20.00 so I can't really complain and the saving the aggravation of having to send blades out to get sharpened or having a second blade on hand. I was looking forward to using this blade sharpener for a multitude of garden tools. I don't have knives. It is rather difficult to use on the garden tools. The tool dedicated blades don't really conform to my tool's blades. It is very difficult to use. Didn't make my blades worse but I'm not convinced that they are any sharper than they were. Not a tremendous loss cost wise otherwise I would be sending it back for a complete refund.

Very easy to use and safe with the large handle. Has sharpened several pairs of secateurs,shears and garden loppers . Extremely useful with the various notches. Wish I had something similar years ago!

Wonderful tool. I was able to sharpen all of my garden tools for the season. I had previously bought new ones because I wasn't sure how to sharpen them. Now I can save money %26 sharpen them myself. Comes with easy instructions.

This handy sharpener does a great job on pruning shears, hedge clippers and knives. It even does a good job of sharpening a garden hoe.
This all in one sharpener works! sharpened my pruners mower blade hedge trimmers in less than 15 min. and saved money not paying someone else
So far this seemed to help sharpened by limb lopper and pruner but it is hard to get on the blade because mine don't open as much as the ones in the pictures here. These tools are what I really needed to sharpen. I haven't tried it on my scissors yet. Think it will work well on them.
