In 2019, I purchased the Sheridan Millennia Bed Collection including the Quilt Cover and 2 x Fitted Sheets. From the first night they felt so soft, luxurious and breathable that the price was well worth it. I still have them today.Coming around to 2022, I have just purchased another Sheridan Millennia Quilt Cover (Order # 402206812 dated 21 Nov 22). What a disappointment. I have my 2019 and 2022 purchases side-by-side. The drop in quality is terrible.The newest Quilt Cover feels rough and cardboard-like. I was so impressed with the softness of this quilt cover when I went to Sheridan store 2 years and got to inspect and feel all the different sheets. This and the Palais are the best in the store IMHO. It immediately went in my wish list. I finally can afford to buy it recently and was so disappointed. It was cardboard like, very thick and rustling. It was not soft and smooth and silky as the one in the store. And itâs so expensive! I am not sure why the quality change so much. I read another review which said similar thing.

Perfect sleep comfort, and the 1200tc is great when washed - always feels like a new purchase after a hot wash, and dries well either on the line in the sun/ wind or in the drier for about an hour. I have 2 colours and swap them for difference each time when the quilt has its wash. Just a nuisance they donât âautomatically clean/refreshâ for you daily, as the comfort feel changes over time with our bodies, becoming a greasy/oily like feel, but then this is when you know the hot wash refresh cycle is due up, usually the fitted and top sheet are needed before the quilt/doona, which is usually only due every 2nd or 3rd wash. We've been buying Sheridan Millennia virtually since they were first released. I must admit that the 1200TC has spoilt me for sleeping on sheets with a lesser thread count - these are hotel quality, and absolute luxury. I will add that I first purchased Sheridan sheets in the early Seventies, with the (then) thread count of 1000, and have never purchased any sheets other than Sheridan since, so there you go. A lifetime customer!
We have been buying their 1200 thread count sheets for over 16 years and this last purchase will be out last. The fitted sheet feels nothing like all of our previous fitted sheets. It's scratchy and harsh like hessian. I haven't changed my detergent or washing process. I still have another Queen fitted sheet that's 2 years old and it is still as soft as silk (like all of their normal 1200 thread count products). We really notice it when we change from the old sheet to the new one. I have a feeling Sheridan is cost-cutting and possibly has changed manufacturers.
A perfect Match with sheet/doona relationship, only for the head. Make sure a great pillow and mattress goes with this for a 5 star sleep. The comfort I get from Sheridanâs Millennia is superb. I always sleep with Sheridans soft comfort hand towels on pillow covers. It may seem weird, but it prevents the pillows/covers from getting yellow like bleach stains on them from head sweating or at least 5 x less.
CREASES APPALLINGLY. Hope this helps someone else avoid being stuck with expensive, high maintenance, port quality bed linen. Advised by Sheridan when informed if issue after first wash (done per their instructions on label) that this creasing is ânormalâ when correctly laundered, and now will need to be ironed (first advice was âdo not ironâ, followed by apology for âwrong adviceâ), I would never have purchased this if this requirement was indicated on the label. As if I want to iron an entire set of king size bed linen each time I wash it! Refund not offered despite product not of quality expected. They're a seriously good, well-made item - there's no doubt about that fact however from my perspective the only niggling problem is the size of the sheet, itâs way too wide for my liking. We have a queen size bed and the sheet feels like it was made for a king size bed. It overhangs each side of the mattress by ~50cm. You might ask why is that a problem. Well, it's because there are times when I'm feeling a little warm and in order to cool myself down, I like to stick my feet outside of the sheet and doona. Problem is with an overhang of 50cm I find it difficult to manoeuvre my leg down past the bottom of the overhang in order to get my foot on the outside of the sheet. Itâs my favourite bedding fabric, as the TC helps for comfort. đ I also find to be marvellous if just before bed youâre extremely tired, thus constantly yawning and struggling to keep your eyes open, because as soon as you get into bed youâre literally falling asleep, trouble free. Happened to me last night, and my sleep was fantastic. Awoke Motherâs Day and was happy all day. Theyâre great comfort too when slept on for approximately 2 weeks, as long as the 1st clean night youâre clean to go with it, as this increases the comfort. Youâll know when the wash is due up as the comfort/feel texture changes. In winter they dry quick through dryer also. The only real issue with Millennia is summer - the TC can cause bed sweating, an unpleasant feeling and a quicker wash cycle. I usually therefore only sleep with top sheet over me in the summer, but the comfort is still there - if the heat arrives, just flick off to the legs/feet. As for Sheridan, which provides this brand, I recommend them to everyone as their items are a 20/10 for quality and their prices are sensible and sensational with the regular 40% off sales, as well as giving registered customers a birthday gift. It would be nice to see Sheridan make items for the kitchen, such as tea towels.
