Use the CBN wheels for any sharpening projects, including; turning tools, chisels, plane irons and more. With the CBN Grinding Wheels you will achieve a super fine, sharp edge with polished bevel on either hardened tool steel or carbide. CBN wheels have 4 times higher abrasive resistance, 55 times higher thermal conductivity and twice the hardness of aluminium oxide wheels. They are ideal for sharpening all Wood Turning Tools, including V10 or any High Speed Steel (HSS) tools. These wheels can make almost any grinder perform at a much higher level. Just think about not having to prepare your grinding stone by dressing and shaping it each time, simply turn on your grinder and get to sharpening without any hassle. Designed for use with Slow Speed Grinders. The CBN Grinding Wheels come in either 80grit, 180grit or 320grit. When attaching the CBN grinder wheel to the right side of a Sherwood grinder. You will need to use the bushing/spacer that is supplied. One of the advantages of CBN wheels is that you can sharpen without the requirement of coolant as the wheels don't overheat or burn the tools. These wheels provide excellent removal of steel whilst also delivering a sharp edge and smooth finish with very little effort. CBN wheels have a long life as they never need to be redressed. These wheels can be mounted on a 3000 RPM or 1500 RPM bench grinder. They feature a 5/8in bore. Caution: CBN Grinding Wheels are designed to be used to sharpen hardened Steel or Carbide.
