My bike came with Shimano drivetrain, but KMC chain. Not a dealbreaker or anything, but shifts are just that much crispier with the Shimano chain. To me it’s a noticeable difference and worth the upgrade. Came with a quick link, too.

It’s always good to have a back-up chain.I carry quick links, but eventually will need a replacement chain — so why not get it now. Once your away from civilization, good luck finding one.
I ordered this chain because the Sram GX was not going as fine as I expected with a Shimano M8100 cassette. With this chain the transmission goes much finer. We will see durability. For less than € 20 it's pretty good.

I was experiencing a brutally annoying clicking while pedaling. My current chain was a year old with over 600 miles on it. It's now shifting fast and smooth with zero clicks.
