A great little reel. I bought it to use as a spare but now it's a permanent fixture on my light rod. The reel looks great, reliable, and the action is smooth. No problems with it at all. OK, so it's not the Stella or even the Saragosa but for the price it's a great little workhorse.

Was wary after reading a review saying this didn’t have any anti-reverse. There is a switch to bait feed which is a little hidden which would make one think it’s broken when you open the package (at least on the 1000 I purchased). Pretty sturdy feeling for a $20 reel. Reels pretty smooth. I’ll be purchasing the 3000 series as well.

Good fishing reel. My light set up for yakka, has not disappointed me so far. Make every fish fun when they put up a fight

Very nice reel for the money! Using it on a UL rod. You cant go wrong with shimano reels.
Excellent value. The 1000 size works very well with 4lb mono. I get about a season out of one reel before it wears out, around 100 fishing sessions give or take. Used for ultralight lure fishing mostly.
Just started using it. So far it is just what I expected. inexpensive but serviceable. It is for my "truck rod" that I keep in my truck in case I am forced to fish when I see a hot spot. I use cheap set ups as they get abused pretty quickly. Will follow up my review if anything changes,
Perfect little reel for whiting, it’s cheap, looks good and problem free. Won’t be disappointed
