There is a switch to bait feed which is a little hidden which would make one think it’s broken when you open the package (at least on the 1000 I purchased). Pretty sturdy feeling for a $20 reel. Reels pretty smooth. I’ll be purchasing the 3000 series as well.

Packaging was damaged and taped up with scotch tape. I normally wouldn’t care but this was intended as a gift. Replacing would have taken way too long. Poor service

Excellent reel for the money. Drag system is tight and reliable and the anti-reverse works well. Spooled with 8lb fluorocarbon for a perfect trout/salmon reel for Alaska.

I bought this reel (2500) to replace a Ready 2 Fish which lost its crank handle. The quality and user friendliness are about on par. I spooled it up with 8lb XL easy cast mono line, and mounted it to the R2F rod. The gold banding matches nicely with same.Apart from initial doubts due to the tiny size of the rotation lock, I am very happy with the reed's action. While not silent or glassy -smooth, it is a lot quieter and spools the line much more smoothly than the R2F original.In casting a blank line from my balcony, it casts and retrieves more than adequately. I intend to update the review once I have a chance to test it with bass and bluegill at my local spot.
I really like these reels! They are my go to when doing some light Crappie fishing or even in the surf. I reeled in a huge ray with 30 pound braid. I’ve got a limit of Crappie with 8 pound mono.
I paired this reel in 2000 size with some 6lb spiderwire braid. It's a little rough, but that's to be expected with braid on a spinning reel. It fits great on my 5'6" Berkely lightning rod. It casts like a dream for a $20 reel. Overall, it's a great reel for the price.
Just started using it. So far it is just what I expected. inexpensive but serviceable. It is for my "truck rod" that I keep in my truck in case I am forced to fish when I see a hot spot. I use cheap set ups as they get abused pretty quickly. Will follow up my review if anything changes,

This is one sweet midsize reel. Extra smooth drag and effortless retrieve. I purchased one for myself and was so impressed with it when I got it that I immediately ordered a second one for my son. The price is unbelievable for what you are receiving. Highly recommend.
