Well priced and looks great. Matched it with a Shimano Saragosa 10000 specifically for Kingfish and bottom fishing. It's a great combination that to date catches fish. Very happy.

Bought this rod for my NASCI 5000 which gives it a powerhouse performance. One thing to note on this rod is that it is a 2 piece but the joint/section is cut above the butt grip, in which it will give me a 7ft and 2ft~ish something piece. Not suitable for small car.

Broken reel mount
11 July 2022

Used the rod for two days fishing and the reel mount broke cause the reel to spin around the rod. Obviously the rod was now useless. I’ve never seen this happen to any rod ever before?

Decent rod for all round use.

Good stiff rod, with some grunt for snapper offshore in deep water. Not bad for hybrid jigging/spinning when drifting. Have them paired with 5500 Penn Slammer, but could go lighter - say 4500 or even 4000. One rod had to be returned due to snap to the blank between first and second runner, however this was explained as travel damage (it had not been used and snapped when rigging). BCF were awesome and replaced it straight away.

Great Heavy Duty Rock Fishing Rod
28 March 2022

Great rod. Use it to fish for larger pelagic off the rocks or breakwall, and this rod has performed great. Combined with a 6000 sized reel, I can easily pull up decent sized kingfish, trevally and bonitos.

Great medium heavy top water rod.
13 June 2022

Matched the 21JL822TW5 top water rod with a 14k Saragosa loaded with Pe5 Ocea 8. Great for chasing tuna, king and GTs on stick baits. Nice light blank with plenty of low down power when hooked up.

Poor quality
31 March 2022

The part of the 2 piece rod that inserts into the top piece snapped off first time using it. It’s lodged inside the rod and has basically ruined the rod for future use. This happened first day of a fishing trip, travelling north. I can’t return via post as i bought in store (Geraldton) Currently trying to resolve this with BCF, to no avail.

Very good & high-end quality product. Im sure 1pce is best but 2 Pce offers travel versatility & less likely to damage a delicate but tough light rod . A special rod to fish with for many many years with good care.

Why no high end fishing gear in Kalgoorlie store
20 January 2023

Nice rod BUT it was not what I was after. I was wanting a high end quality rod and was prepared to pay up to $500 however the range in the Kalgoorlie store is very poor compared to BCF stores on the coast. Apparently the stock the Kalgoorlie store can hold is dictated to by head office in Perth. For some reason people in Perth seem to think they know more about what Kalgoorlie people want to buy than the staff that work in Kalgoorlie. The offshore fishing range of reels and rods in Kalgoorlie is not to the standard of other BCF stores why are Kalgoorlie getting low to mid quality gear on the shelf. If anaconda opened a store here I am there.
