Legit Shimano Ultegra crankset, I specifically requested a unit with a manufacturing code that is not included on Shimano's recalled units from the seller and they were quick to reply and sent me a picture of the actual crankset they sent me. Very satisfied with the purchase without worrying about the crankset, seller was kind and easy to talk to. Would recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lowest priced legitimate Ultegra crankset as well. Already tried it on my bike, tested it with 150km on it now. Had no problems whatsoever.

I bought this in the 165mm length for installation into a BB30 bottom bracket using the Wheels Manufacturing adapter. The rest of the groupset is 10 speed Ultegra 6700. Installation was very simple and the results superb to date. The crank is very stiff and the shifts smooth and quick. No problems with 10/11 speed compatibility on the front derailleur. The 24mm diameter makes the crank usable in most bottom brackets with appropriate adapters. Nothing to fault so far.

Bought to replace a 6 yr old Ultegra 6800 chainset for three reasons: 1. 50/34 rings were showing signs of wear. 2. RD had already been replaced with an 8000 long cage, to allow a 34 cassette for 2019 ETD. 3. Felt fit enough to use 52/36 on local hills and to keep up with sprints on group rides.Cosmetics: The 8000 colour matches the RD. Modern design. Goods looks.Functionality and Gearing: Noticeably quieter. Gearing on local hills, with 32 cassette, seems OK, allowing for fitness and age. Yet to try the 34 that will meet all sportive needs.Impressed with change but kept the 50/34 for those long alpine climbs, just in case!.

My Cannondale CAAD 10 came with an FSA carbon fiber crankset. The metal inserts in the left crank arm came loose twice. First the insert where the pedal attaches became loose and the bike shop replaced that arm. A couple of years later the insert on the left arm where it attaches to the crank shaft became loose. Since most of the bikes components (derailleurs, brakes, hubs and rims) are Ultegra, I decided to replace the FSA crankset with Ultegra. The difference in weight is less than two ounces. The Ultegra left crank arm appears to have a stronger and more adjustable attachment system to the crank shaft. I've ridden it about 100 miles and so far so good. Hopefully that's the end of loose crank issues.
This is a great looking crank. Power transfer is equally as good as the looks. It's lightweight and comes in many different size options. I went for the 52T over the standard 50T, as I do a lot of riding on flats around my area. I find this helps minimize chainslap also when it the small cogs. If your bike came with a generic lookalike crank, I recommend this upgrade as it will add rigidity and decrease the weight of your bike.
This review is more about the crank size and gearing rather than the crank itself which is fine. I'm 6'1" and have run the typical 175mm with compact gearing for years. I wanted to try the shorter crank arms since I've been happy with that setup on the mtn bike but was planning to keep the same gearing. Trying to find the Ultegra compact crank on sale but either it was out of stock or not on sale. Enter the 165mm arms with sub compact gearing. On sale and available, I decided to try them and have been very happy. The gearing makes a huge difference in pedaling efficiency over the compact gearing.
Product arrived on time. Original box, well packaged.I've only used the product a few times so far, everything is fine with it - I've been using a longer crank arm so far, with the one I just ordered (165), my legs spin faster.
This crankset is chunkier than it's predecessor. The drive side crank arm appears a couple of mm thicker.I don't know if this is to address the well known debonding failures of the 6800 version. ( I've had 2 fail on me).Time will tell as I know folk who've had debonding with the 8000 as well. The thicker crank arm means there's a tight clearance between the inner face of the drive side crank arm and the outer face of the front derailleur cage.(R8000 FD).So stick rigidly to the Shimano FD installation (pdf) to set it up correctly without rub or strike.Fantastic, reliable, quick delivery from Sigma as always.
I'm still sourcing parts to assemble my new road bike. This Shimano crankset arrived as spec'd ( 52-36 with 165mm cranks) in good time and well packaged. No reason not to assume it will perform to the same high standard as previous Shimano hollowtech cranksets I have owned.
