Uk14 wide was true to size so for me was too wide. I’ve exchanged for a regular width. Super comfy dial works well and gives a high level of comfort. This was an upgrade from a 3 clamp system. Look high end and on offer were a great price! South of £100 material upper is soft and moulds well with a hairdryer.I have flat feet and these are good for this reason. All I need to do now is find some HUGE rain covers for the winter. The air flow will be good for summer rides.

Great Shoes for Outdoor/Indoor Cycling

I have used these for racing and casual cycling for around 750 miles. So far they are in great condition with only minor scuffs from my own mistakes. the BOA lets it fit very comfortably throughout the upper and allows for quick tightening/release. These are a great addition for any road biking activity and have held up great so far. There is an under side vent that has been amazing for cooling my feet off on hot summer days and have added a lot of power to my peddling. Looking forward to many more miles with these and my speedplay comp pedals.

Great option for wide-footed riders
14 May 2023

I have wide feet and am challenged to find road bike shoes that fit. These do a good job. The shoes are well made and the boa closure mechanism helps to relieve pressure. I would be happier if they were about 3-5 mm wider, but I can make them work by loosening the closure, which, remarkably, doesn't cause the shoe to be too loose to pedal efficiently. After just 5 rides I was able to go on an all-day ride without discomfort. I've now put 28 hours on them and they show no signs of wear. The one drawback is that you can feel the flex in the sole when you pedal up a hill out of the saddle. I guess you have to fork out a lot more if you want a more rigid sole.

Nice shoes and great fit
4 June 2023

I've been riding with clipless pedals for many decades now and have tried many different brands of shoes. These are among the nicest, high quality and well fitting shoes I've used. I particularly appreciate the extra wide size. My aging feet are changing and getting a bit wider. Most bike shoes seem to run on the narrow side so I was very happy to find these available in wide sizes. The boa dial works great and easily releases. Price is reasonable as well.

Not tight fitting on my narrow feet
15 March 2024

The shoe's sole is good and stiff for power transfer. I have a narrow foot and as such these shoes, having only one BOA dial, I was not able to get the front of the shoe tight enough. The result was calluses on the balls of my feet right where they made contact with the pedal. After battling that for some time (they were painful they were so thick) I bought the Shimano RC7. They have two BOA dials per shoe and I am able to get the shoe to fit much tighter. I also found the shoe to be more difficult to get on than other shoes I have owned due to the upper thickness.

Soft comfortable upper, sleek profile, great value
30 May 2023

Comfortable shoes, well made. Soft upper fits like a glove, with enough room in toe box to wiggle toes up and down. Heel area a little loose, but doesn’t affect performance. Bottom sole rigid enough for putting down torque off the saddle. Never felt fatigued during morning group rides, around 4 hours long. Very happy with these shoes for its intended purpose. Great value thanks to REI's price adjustment policy.

Very good but room for improvement
22 December 2020

These are a well made good quality shoe. I dropped a star for their narrow fitting. I normally buy a 44 whenever I buy shoes. I bought "44 wide" in this shoe and did not go one size up as many do. The length of the shoe is fine and a size up would be the wrong length and mess up my cleat position. I would say even the wide version felt fitting and I can't imagine how tight the normal 44 would have been. I think the toe area could be more generous and is only just acceptable. The range of cleat position adjustment is really useful. This is the first time I bought a shoe with BOA lacing. The BOA lace system works great and provide just enough slack to get your fit in (thick socks could be a challenge). I was worried that the laces may eventually break (however they are strong), but looking on the BOA website you can purchase replacements anyway should the worst happen (for peace of mind). They are light and well made, good looking and a snug fit even in wide version (which I would recommend). I am happy to have these and more colour options in wider fits would be even better.

Wide version is not wider?
5 July 2023

I ordered suddenly a non-wide version, and after I realized it, I instantly ordered a wide version, too. Therefore I could compare the normal and wide version.Wide version comes with an extra "E" label after the size label, so in my case it is 44E for the wide, and 44 for the normal. BUT!! At the forepart of your toe, where you would naturally want wider shoes, the two shoes are exactly the same!! It is not wider, but "higher". You have more legroom on the top, but if you need a wider shoes, as you have a bit wider toe, there is no point to buy a wider version.I don't understand why it is not written in the size chart. The 5% wider can mean anything, and it turned out it means wider in a wrong way.
