Size 40 is good for thin socks, even the woollen (but still thin) can be used, but not thicker warmer socks. For that I am using warm shoe covers. The shoes without the covers for me are comfortable at temperatures down to 9 degrees C, while for everything below, I would need warm covers.

These shoes are stiff enough for xc and gravel but they won't destroy your feet on long days. I tried both the women & men version and could not tell the difference except the inner material color (black for men version).

very comfortable shoe, happy with the fit, price and delivery time. Would recommend as a very good commute shoe or shoe for cafe rides. Size 45 fit nicely for me and I am ordinarily UK size 10 shoe.
They're comfy and secure. I love them and would recommend them. With Shimano, however, you need to size up one size. I initially ordered size 39 (EU) and had to replace for a 40.
Delivery and low price from Bike Inn were fine. The fit however is odd. Toe box pinches and I had to swap insoles and sox for a decent fit. Love the low weight and the secure adjustment of the boa fastener.
We ordered these Shimano MTB shoes from Tredz and they arrived in good time. They seemed like a high quality product but, unfortunately, they didn’t quite fit the foot shape of my Cinderella. They were returned and Tredz have already been in touch to organise the refund. So, pleased and disappointed all at the same time.
My old lace up shimano MTB shoes needed replacing. I chose a size bigger than my normal shoe size as before and also purchased Specialized insoles. I found the boa closure easy to adjust. So far, so good. I also like the fact that I can walk on these soles quite comfortably. These shoes are a little heavier than my old pair but overall I am pleased with them.Most reviews for these shoes consider these are a good spec for the price and I would agree.
Boa systems often broke off of shoe. I’ve taken them in for repairs multiple times after only having them for 2 months. Very poor product
optimal solution.shoe toe protection, ventilation.not as fast to put on as the old models.I have XC7 and XC70 models, I don’t see any reason to buy higher than XС3 unless you are walking along the XSO track in the mountains in this model there are no spikes on the toe.
