This is the first time using a Shimano Quick Link (I've always used Sram before) and am not happy. I am savvy with bike repairs and not weak but was unable to get these to lock by hand. I had to turn the crank to get the Quick Links positioned in front of the chain ring, hold the rear brake and apply forward pressure on the pedal. Removing them required wire, pliers and some creativity. Of course there's a tool you can buy to make this easier...or you can just buy Sram or KMC, which is what I will do next time.

Been waiting for these for a long time. So tired on installing the pins on the old chains.... Is it too tight or too loose? Does the pin stick out far enough each side? Etc. Ugh! These are just like all the other ones. Good luck trying to undo them with your bare hands though. Get the right tool that works both ways for putting these on and taking them off.

The Quick-Link is much more convenient than the old pin arrangement however make sure it's put on the correct way round !!Was previously using KMC links with Shimano chains but will now stick to the same make for 11 speed.Came in two tiny plastic bags within the larger blue Shimano box which is un-necessary packaging !!Good price as usual from Sigma
