Great rod and real combo great action in the rod for casting, with out going too heavy on the lure. Hit it with some good casting braid, went for flick chasing chasing the salmon got one for first session great fun on the gear! Would recommend!
I just bought this today and on my first cast i caught a pb redfin. The rod habfle really well, and the casting action is smooth.
I’ve been on cheap Kmart rods all my life. I bought this rod and it has changed everything, the rod is nice and light and is very responsive to bites and hits. The reel is just as good with its ultra smooth drag and lightweight design. This is the best rod ever!!!!!
Had this combo for a few months now and it has been outstanding for salmon fishing along Victoria's 90 mile beach on fish up to 3 kg. Super responsive, great casting range and easy to maintain.
Excellent. Although the rod is very stiff. It's not a bad thing, just keep it in mind when purchasing. The reel is excellent.
