Does the job, but save a bit more for something a bit better.

You get what you pay for. The derailleur works as it should, it's just a bit more stubborn that higher end ones. Plus it has a 'hook' to latch onto the derailleur hanger, not a loop so make sure your have other hanger bolts to use, as the one I removed didn't work with this one.

Delivery was a bit late(due to lockdown) but I am completely satisfied with the purchase I made. Other websites are selling the same for double the price even some of them are selling fake rip-off's, but this one is legit. Go for it if you want to buy one.

Low Budget Upgrade

This was purchased as a replacement component on a Walmart bicycle but it was more like an "upgrade" once installed. My friend said her bicycle shifted smoother and more quietly than when she bought it new. I would recommend this component for low budget buyers.

Nice and affordable derailleur

This is a very nice and affordable derailleur that I installed with 6, 7 and 8 speed setups. You will need to trim the derailleur cable housing about 2 inches for the best fit if the old derailleur is a different model.

Perfect Replacement

Using this on a 7 speed Jamis boss cruiser that the local crackheads stole, then abandoned in the parking lot of the old abandoned social services building. For whatever reason, they decided after their theft to rip off the brakes and fix the derailleur on the lowest gear, which I guess busted the original. I ordered a shimano tourney that I thought matched the original off of that "rainforest" site, but it didn't mount onto the wheel correctly. After some google-fu I came to mikes bikes which had the perfect replacement with the correct mount. Now after installation I'm the envy of all the crackheads. Purchase a lock as well to add some security and longevity to your repairs.

Smooth shifting, inexpensive

Great shifter. Installed to be compatible with the trigger shifter I bought. So far no issues, my son uses this bike and hasn't had any issues with shifting. 8 gears on this rear cassette.

The mounting bolt was very tight and hard to turn. As I was loosening it the bolt snapped off. Had a hard time getting the rest of the bolt out I ended up drilling it out. I'll have to use a bolt and nut to fasten it.

Works well

It's a budget range item but its well made and works well, last one lasted many years on a well used hybrid bike. There are several options, length between cogs, position of cable entry.
