After some dithering over whether to size up, I ordered my normal size (36C) & hoped it would fit and it was perfect. Was a bit scared about getting it on after reading other reviews but I put it on backwards, did up the hooks at the front then dragged it round and was able to easily do up the racerback clasp reaching behind my neck (if that makes sense). The fit was good and everything seemed to be where it should for a good fit. I tried jumping up and down and there was a little bit of bounce but not much (only about 5%). I wore it to the gym and it was very comfortable (more comfortable and supportive than my previous 10-yr old Freya sports bra) and I didn't notice/think about wearing it at all once I was there which was nice! No bounce at all whilst running so ... MoreAfter some dithering over whether to size up, I ordered my normal size (36C) & hoped it would fit and it was perfect. This is my third shock absorber bra . They really do a great job , although the last one I bought top fastener snapped recently , hence the third purchase . ( it must have been faulty but was a year old so couldn't return it )I agree with some of the other reviews it can be tricky to get on . I have a two part method ... 1st turn bra so bottom fastener ( with hooks ) is under your boobs so you can look down and do up 2nd turn bra back around to fit then clip left hand side of top fastener into the top of right hand side . You have to work out a way that's comfortable for you but once you get it .... Your away and quickly !I did a half marathon in this bra without any rubbing or abrasions . It's ace .One other tip go up a chest size . I'm normally 34D and went to 36D

Great colour - very vibrantAs with all shock absorber run bra's you need to go up a size in the band.I ordered multiple sizes & colours, and red had a much bigger band than the orange, so much so i would probably have to go down a band size for it to fit properly (if I had kept it).I have had lots of these bra's over the years. However, they do not feel as sturdy or the clips so well made as before (only time will tell). These are expensive, and I expect more from a premium product. I might try some different brands moving forward.

I love the color of this and the reviews are great so I really wanted to like it. So much so, in fact, that I tried 3 times. I'm a 34FF in "street" bras but usually opt for a 32G in sports bras so that I feel really secure (for HIIT classes). I tried a 32G - couldn't breathe or barely get it on. Next came the 34FF - still spilled out under the armpits a bit. Finally, the 34G - and then I realized that maybe I just don't like my boobs being so squashed. It doesn't feel like me. Back to my Panache and Freya....
I definitely need a good bra for running (!) and this does the job really well. I have used shock absorbers for some years and they have always been good. I was a bit cynical about the change in design, but actually I think the extra clip up high provides extra support and I got used to fastening it pretty quickly. It's a bit softer than previous ones I have had too, but without reduction in support. It's important to get the right size - worth trying a few and adjusting the straps.
Excellent support for two hour runs. This is the only run bra or firm support bra I feel fully supported in for longer runs.I still use another shock absorber crop top over the top for extra compression. I find the shoulder straps slightly too long, usually wear on shortest setting but in the past I've had to cut and shorten them.True to size but I find there is a little too much volume of fabric in the top of the cup, they're made for a 20 year old I think! I find this with any full cup bra though and wear half cup balcony bras for everyday for this reason or there is too much fabric at the top of the cups. With this run bra I make a triangle shaped dart in the centre top which makes the cups less full at the top for flatter breasts, to get a firmer fit in that ... MoreExcellent support for two hour runs. This is the only run bra or firm support bra I feel fully supported in for longer runs.I still use another shock absorber crop top over the top for extra compression. With this run bra I make a triangle shaped dart in the centre top which makes the cups less full at the top for flatter breasts, to get a firmer fit in that area. It's not difficult to get into. Every other run bra I've tried offers less support and most are impossible to put on or get off when wet without assistance, so Shock Absorber wins hands down on that too.Less chafing than other bras due to the ultra firm fit. When the bra starts to chafe under the arms/at the sides it just means the elastic has reached the end of its life and the bra need replacing. When new, these bras will keep you running in comfort for hours, even when wet, with no painful chafe!
This is my favourite sports bra, it is comfortable and it’s just much easier to wash and care for than an underwired bra. However the sizing is weird in comparison to normal / everyday bras. I usually wear a 28E in Freya/panache/bravissimo pretty consistently, but this bra I buy in a 32D. So once you know your size it is great, but finding it could take some trial and error.I put it on by doing the top clip up first, put it over my head, then fasten the hooks once it is in place.
This is the second one I have bought in a month because when you find a good running bra, you get more than one . This bra is hands down incredible. It’s not underwired so I thought it would be poor but it is more supportive that all the previous sports bras I have bought. It’s so comfy and I am a g cup but they don’t budge. It doesn’t dig in or leave marks and is super easy to get on. I use it for running and it’s amazing. It’s an award winner for a reason and I was very sceptical.
Don’t even understand how this bra had 4 stars average in the ratings! Everything you’d hate was present in this bra. The band is at least 1-2 sizes too tight (normally I’m a 32 in band, read reviews and bought 34 and it was still a struggle to get it on loosest clasp). Once you get it on, it’s a total uniboob effect, no separation whatsoever. Then the worst part is that despite the uniboob squish and the super-tight band, I felt it did not give me enough support or bounce control. I wore it to do cross fit in and was very frustrated with the amount of bounce I still felt. Huge disappointment and I wish I could send it back at this point, but I had taken the tags off and washed it, so I guess I’m stuck. Hopefully this review will help others avoid the same mistake! ... MoreDon’t even understand how this bra had 4 stars average in the ratings! Everything you’d hate was present in this bra. In the same order, I also bought the other shock absorber bra style. I did like that better. Better separation, band not as tight (still go up a size though). Still not a ton of support, but ok for moderate bounce activity (wouldn’t run in it).
there's a few things we need to talk about with this bra. all comments from other shoppers are true. when choosing this bra you have to go 2 sizes up and it's not the best at reducing the jiggle. another thing is that i seem to be at the loosest setting for the straps to get the back right. i'm 1.62 so that puzzles me. why did i buy it? because it's very quick drying... i use a sportsbra every day of the week for a mat class with lots of upside down work so it suits my needs but if you're thinking of running in it, perhaps choose something different.
