He clearly explained why it was open box and sent it out to me. It arrived well within reason. And I am so happy with my helmet. Absolutely no issues. I saved several hundred on a shoe I helmet only because someone tried it on. Will be purchasing all my motorcycle gear from here.

The GT Air 2 is a well made helmet that is comfortable to wear and flows a decent amount of air for a full face helmet. The sun visor provides more coverage than the predecessor model. The ratchet stap locking mechanism works fine, but precludes the use of some traditional helmet locks. The proprietary cover for the Sena communication system can be worked around if you have a Cardo system, but it would be simpler if you didn't have to come up with a solution in the first place.

I came from many years wearing a GT Air (the original version) and I was looking forward to replacing my helmet with the GT Air 2. The helmet is perfect in just about every way - super high quality fit and finish, fits me well, it's quiet and not too heavy. It vents well and it has an internal sun visor. It ticks all the boxes for me.Except I had to return it due to one major issue. The D ring chin strap has been replaced with a ratchet strap. No matter what i tried, i could not get the ratchet to stop digging into my throat - super uncomfortable! Note that I am a regular sized guy - almost 5 foot 11, and almost 170 pounds. I love the features of in this helmet. The removable padding, Pinlock Anti-Fog Leg, and Built-In QSV-2 sun shield is great. I like the ratchet chin strap, but it needs to be repositioned due to putting pressure on my Adams Apple. My main reason for giving this helmet three stars is due to Shoei catering this helmet to the Sena SRL 2 Communication System. I prefer the Cardo PackTalk Edge for many reasons. Quality, design, and assembly of this helmet are 5 star quality. The movement and satisfying latching hold of the visor and intergrated sun visor are 5 star quality. This helmet by far has been of the highest quality I've ever purchased.My 1 and only complaint is sizing.My head measured at 57.15cm (22.5 inches)Measured 3 times by a friend with a cloth measuring tape. Head shape is intermediate oval.The sizing chart shows that 57-58cm is a medium. So I purchased a medium. (Verified size was a medium when I received) The helmet was so small that it hurt to pull it down passed my ears and cheeks. Once I had the helmet on it was so tight I was in pain. The chin strap was adjusted to as long as it could go but still was too tight.
$79.99 for the helmet, $620.01 for the SHOEI name that's printed on it.Doesn't come anywhere close to the original GT Air, which I luckily still have/use! The pearlescent paint on my original GT Air made it look incredible on top of the awesome fit, operation, etc.Hopefully one day soon they decide to "go back to their roots" and make another GT Air-esque helmet (???? yeah right.... they need the gimmicks to keep the price high)!!
Excellent price for a premium helmet. Although the helmet was old model reduced to sell, the manufacture date for my helmet was June 2023, so it wasn’t that old. Once paired up with the SENA SRL-2 intercom system makes it an awesome bit of kit. More wind noise than expected but this could be due to my bike having a short screen. My first Shoei but definitely not my last. Thanks Infinity for a great price and deal.
Love the crash helmet. Although there are a couple of bits that annoy me.1 it's very noisy wind noise.2 the chin strap could do with a slightly longer buckle protector.3 the button for lowering the tinted visor is a little awkward to find with gloves on.But apart from that it's a good helmet.
Now with multi long rides I have an opinion, I came from a RF1200 and RF1400. This helmet is crazy loud and whistles when the top vent is open. It drives me crazy, I thought all my shields would fit.....nope. One more thing and it's big, i bought the $370 communication system....if you want to take care of your ears and wear ear plugs, YOU CANT HEAR IT, so at this point, i have a $1000 helmet that I dont like. Shoei makes great products, but this one is a miss. LOOK AT THIS ONE CAREFULLY.
