These waterproof mid boots are amazing for comfort, warmth, and the waterproof features. I got these mostly for early morning walks with my dog because I always came back with my shoes soaking wet from morning dew or early rains. But now, with the winter snow storms in my area this year, I've used them almost all day for about 2 weeks and they are amazing comfortable, easy to put on, extremely warm, and cool looking which I think is also pretty important. I personally got the green version. They do get snow in the top of the mid boots if stepping or running through 6 inches or deeper snow like I did with my dog so the taller version might suit you better if you regularly want to use these in snowy conditions.

One of the best hiking shoes I’ve ever had. I bought these shoes three days before I left to hike a volcano in Central America. One of the hardest hikes I’ve ever done and I was mainly concerned with not breaking the shoes in enough before the hike. Wore them for maybe about an hour throughout the days before the hike and they held up great. Didn’t have a single blister and honestly didn’t even think about my feet hurting once. I see a lot of people talk about how the shoes aren’t waterproof as advertised and I can’t say much about that since the hike was all on very dry/sandy ground. Definitely recommend these shoes overall.

These boots were exactly what I was looking for. I've hiked with them pretty extensively this winter in snow and mud, and for me they've been completely waterproof. They don't seem to breathe all that well, which I assume is due to them being waterproof. For winter his has been great, my feet have been very warm. We'll see how this is as the weather starts to turn.I'm generally pretty minimalistic when it comes to footwear. I prefer no heel, a minimal drop, and don't have a need for much arch support. These fit that bill perfectly, they're pretty flat, and the arch is minimal, which may not be ideal for everyone. The comments about the Gravel/Dark Moss color are pretty accurate. It is definitely much more "green" than it appeared in the pictures that were available when I bought. There is really no grayish color to them at all. That said I still like them, though had the Graphite Delta been available when I bought I'd have considered those.TL:DR If you like a fairly minimalistic shoe this is a great option. If you're looking for something with more support, probably look for something else.

I love these boots and daily wear them. They are comfortable. I just had to recently send them in for warranty work due to the soul peeling away from the boot unfortunately, and had to pay out of my own pocket for shipping, hopefully they take care of me. I would give these shoes a much better rating if it wasn’t for the color difference from online to in person. Online they look incredible and the main body of the shoe is a Gravel color and the toe is a Moss as they describe for the color. In person they are a dark moss green all over the whole boot and the main body of the boot which should be gravel, is a dark green that has a tacky glossy look to it. I wish Columbia would make the exact boot from their pictures because that is exactly what I was looking for. I ... MoreI love these boots and daily wear them. They are comfortable. I gave one star in hopes of continuing to bring awareness to them that they are misrepresenting the color of the boots. Once I got past the expectation I had about color I’ve come to really love these boots for my daily wear.
Bought these as a Black Friday deal so the price was too good to pass up. Have been hemming and hawing over getting these for a while. I have a pair of the black Fairbanks low sneaker version. Really enjoyed them but have worn the heels bald and always wished they had a waterproof coating or lining for the winter months. I wear them for work as they are subtle enough not to call out that they are really just sneakers. These boots wear the same in that regard. In design I prefer the split tone of the shoes version with its gum rubber sole to break up the visual profile a little better. The boots also feel different across my feet, and have a more pointed shape it feels like towards the toe compared to the shoes. Regardless of all that, at the sale price I grabbed ... MoreBought these as a Black Friday deal so the price was too good to pass up. Have been hemming and hawing over getting these for a while. Regardless of all that, at the sale price I grabbed them for, easily worth the money. At normal retail it was always a tougher decision (hence taking so long to pick them up). I have not had them in any wet conditions so I cannot yet speak to the waterproofing claims of the boot.
I ordered these Fairbanks Mid Boots back in August when they were on sale for $52. Seemed like a good deal and they had them available in blue. They never shipped and in fact my account still says they’re pending pickup six months later. After 5-6 exchanged emails and phone calls, they finally offered to re order the boots, though they only had them available in green and I would have to pay the difference in price. I agreed. The shoes arrived and do not match what is pictured. The toe and heel are a different color and the tongue of the boot is very wide. I wear a size 12 but still have narrow feet - these make me look like an ogre. I’ve only worn these now about a dozen times, mostly around when we’ve had some snow lately. They are not at all waterproof as advertised. Each time my toes have been drenched within an hour. Not sure exactly where the water is getting in but it’s just around the toes, nothing by the ankle. These boots are overpriced for their cheap quality. I’ve bought Columbia products through retail outlets all my life but this is likely to be my last purchase at least for some time.
I started wearing these about 3 weeks ago and was very pleased with the comfort, fit, and look. After having ordered two other Columbia shoes from this site that did not fit all (size 13 was too small in the toe area and size 14 of the same model was too large. Both returned locally), these were a relief to receive as they fit perfectly. However, upon stepping into a 1 inch puddle going to the grocery store today, my foot was instantly wet. This is not acceptable at this price range and really anything that has "waterproof" written right on it should be waterproof. I'm assuming this is a quality control issue and not something that effects every pair, at least I hope this is the case. I own a pair of Fairbanks low shoes that are my favourite shoes of all time, so I ... MoreI started wearing these about 3 weeks ago and was very pleased with the comfort, fit, and look. I purchased these as a casual boot for the coming wet weather this winter, just something to wear around town. If they don't hold up in the city, they probably work as a hiker.
One star for being comfy, that’s it. Usually with “waterproof” boots there’s a trade-off between breathability and waterproofness. There is no trade-off here, you get the worst of both worlds. I bought these a year ago in Quebec and although they got hot, they performed fine in snow and my feet stayed dry from external elements. I accepted this as a reasonable trade-off. I live in Toronto now and today is a mix of snow and rain. Not 5 minutes into walking with an umbrella and my feet started feeling cold. I figured it was the cold mixed with some perspiration. After 10 minutes I realized my toes were completely soaked and after 20 minutes both my feet were drenched. When I got home and took them off my feet were dripping water. These boots are horrible. When I got home and took them off my feet were dripping water. These boots are horrible. It is criminal that they are able to label them as waterproof and sell them. I’m unsure how these have gotten such good reviews. It is the reason why I bought them. My 5 year old Mammuts perform way better than this. I remember speaking to an associate that mentioned that if there are waterproofing defects, it typically shows up in one boot because left and right aren’t manufactured together. Well the good news is there is no manufacture defect. The bad news is these boots are extremely poor quality. The warranty is also garbage because if I want the boots examined I need to waste my own money to send them in for their issue. Stay away from these if you can.
I bought these boots for work, during standing and walking outdoors for 8+ hours on end. The first day i wore them I was planning on just wearing them for a few hours just to break them in a little. After about 9 hours of continuous standing and walking I realized I was still wearing them. I was honestly shocked how fresh I still felt, no foot soreness, no knee soreness. I'm not exaggerating when I say they're hands down the comfiest most supportive boots I've ever owned. I've had them for a couple weeks now and they still look brand new, are still just as comfy, and I absolutely love them. My feet are a little wider than average, and I think the boots hug my feet perfectly. Not too much wiggle room, and not too narrow. The ONLY negative thing I can say, which is probably due to the waterproofing, is I do notice a little more sweaty smell at the end of the day than with my non-waterproof boots. But I'll accept that, since I'd prefer my feet stay dry on rainy days!
I purchased 2 pairs of these - one for each of my boys. Overall for the price I am satisfied with the performance of these shoes considering I needed waterproof shoes for overseas travel. They fit well, were easy to get on/off and are waterproof. They also have good traction However, they are not very breathable so they made my kids' feet stink something terrible. They only wore quality hiking socks with these. They also started to fray at the seems in the front and one of the pull tabs is starting to come apart from the cord. I originally purchased for a 5 day Iceland trip and they've worn them once or twice since. So that's about a week's worth of wear they're not holding up that well but I definitely expected more from the brand.
