I’m a huge Shun fan, I have been buying pieces of the classic line. I now have two premier knives and they are my go to knives. The handles are beautiful

Amazingly beautiful knife

I have been upgrading my knives to Shun classic over the last year, I received a premier paring knife as a gift. I love the look and feel of the handle so now I’m going to continue with the premier line.beautiful, functional piece of art for the kitchen

Best knife by a long way

This is by far my favourite knife out of the set. It does everything I want it to, and is exceptionally sharp.It's a fair bit lighter than I was expecting, especially compared to the bigger knives in the set. This isn't a bad thing, just something I noticed. It's easy to move around, in other words.This is the one knife that I always seem to reach for, it's a joy to use. 5 full stars for sure.

Disappointing

I bought this after I received an email solicitation from Shun. The knife was on sale. I now believe it was on sale because it was a 'second' meaning non premium. It's a nice knife, but it was my 5th Shun premier piece and it was clearly not as sharp as the others when they were new.

Great multipurpose knife

This knife's great for kitchen use and as an alternative to a dinner knife or steak knife. The blade chips surprisingly easily but it remains sharp.

Premier Utility 6.5"

This knife is really remarkable. I've been using Cutco knives for most of my life, and thought I'd give myself a Christmas present and invest in this Shun knife. Absolutely love it!! BTW, I was referred by the "Candyman"

SHARP!!!

This knife is fantastic! It slices through raw vegetables, including carrots and potatoes, with no effort!

Sharp and beautiful

A beautiful looking knife that is comfortable in the hand. It's sharp - extremely sharp, so when combined with its looks it's a pleasure to use. And because of its sharpness it's effortless cutting through most things. And I've recently discovered that Shun will sharpen your knife for free (you pay for postage).

pretty but not very sharp out of box

the knife is beautiful but not impressed with out-of-the-box sharpness.i expect a sharp knife to cut thru the skin of a tomato with no effort but that was not the case with this knife. have not tried to sharpen it yet.
