Well, I was cleaning out an old bag today and stumbled across my old pair of 215's. I originally bought them wired, but later got the bluetooth cable. It worked ok but I'm a much bigger fan of the wired configuration. These are the PRO version. No mic, just wired IEM's. I had to bust them out and take them for a spin and they were everything I remembered. I bought these in 2012 right here on b&h. They're extremely comfortable, I can wear them for long periods with less or equal discomfort to my sennheiser 598's. The noise isolation is good, sound is terrific. For $100 they just rock, simply put. And they just survived 5 years in a side pocket of my industrial work bag that I toted back and forth to work in everything from 100+ to below zero temps. So glad I found ... MoreWell, I was cleaning out an old bag today and stumbled across my old pair of 215's. I originally bought them wired, but later got the bluetooth cable. I love shure 215 headphones so much, the sound quality cant be beat. The wireless version however leaves much to be desired. I understand they are not a sports ear bud, so needing to clean the connections after sweating I understand. The connection issues are ridiculous, last year they were disconnecting frequently, but now it's every few seconds they cut in and out. Often reconnecting out of sync, becoming completely unusable in a big city like toronto were so many bluetooth 5.0 headphones are being used. Please Shure, update to bluetooth 5.3 and let me enjoy my 215s once again!

Overall:I have owned Shure in-ears before that were much more expensive but didn't last for super long without one of them quitting working. I bought this cheaper model because of some solid recommendations. However, I only used them twice before the right in-ear kept separating from its single-pin cable. I think the single-pin design is simply not as sturdy as the double-pin design of other in-ears. Beware at your own peril. Otherwise, the sound quality is very good.

After looking through countless reviews and comments, I decided that these headphones were the best for what I need. I am in a band, so I need comfortable long lasting good quality in-ears that will make sure I have the best experience possible, for both me and the people I am playing for. It has great bass. The only thing I found when listening to it on my phone was that it seemed to be playing a lot more of the lower frequencies and less treble and mid. I sorted this out really quickly by raising the 1k - 5k fader slightly within Spotify or, if your phone and/or laptop is different, then you can change the equaliser within the setting of your device. The only thing I found to criticize it was about the noise cancelation, but the only reason why it is like this is ... MoreAfter looking through countless reviews and comments, I decided that these headphones were the best for what I need. Would recommend, would rate them 4/5
The Shure se215s are an EXCELLENT option for any serious studio or stage monitoring work. I first used them nearly 15 years ago in a live setting with Shure's wireless in-ear system. I never really thought much of them except that they sounded pretty good and would mostly stay in with my thrashing around the stage. Recently I was looking for a pair of wired earbuds for monitoring while traveling and I was pretty sure a mixer/producer friend was using these. We spoke about them and he told me he starts all his serious mixing tasks on these. I trust his ears and how right was he about these. These are the most accurate monitoring devices I've ever used. I've completely stopped using my Audio Technica ATH-M50s because these sound so much better. I'm able to hear into the mix more in my own work and also just listening to a streaming service as well. These earbuds make listening to music fun. More fun than it used to be and I nearly always have music playing at home so I'm quite a music fanatic. The value on these earbuds is impeccable. Really they don't have any business being as good as they are and, as an added bonus for travel, they come with a carrying case pounce that also has a clip so I can clip it on my belt loop and not lose them. I hope to always have a pair of se215s. I'm a true believer.

Hence why you need a pair of professional headphones like these,Your sound stage refers to how well the headphones can represent how spread apart the sound is,Your imaging refers to how detailed the sound isThese two are very important when it comes to how well the headphones can represent stereo sound.Good imaging on the headphones, where allow you to pick a part different parts of the audio signal, like mouth, clicks or different instruments. You sound stage allows you to determine how far away a given sound isThis is important because it will help you be able to fix things like echo and reverb in your recordingAlso, there's nothing quite like being able to pick out different instruments and different vocals, in the recordingSoundstage in imaging a really hard to explain if you can get into the store and try out a pair of headphones you'll be able to have a much better understanding of what I'm talking aboutI got these for Field recording, and they Excel with that. They can also block up to 30 dB of noise. The primary purpose was for people who were performing together in the band to protect their hearing, and be able to hear themselves playingA good pair of monitoring headphones is essential for anybody who's in the content creation business even even if that means this being on a zoom call.Because they were designed for performers that means that they designed to be low profile and not be noticed. If you don't want to have that streamer radio narrator, look on your conference calls. These headphones paired with a lavalier microphone in a field recorder/audio interface, like a Zoom h1.Is your best bet for a low profile professional video conferencing set up if you're looking to keep your cost lowAs a matter of fact, this is the exact same set up. I hooked my sister up with for her video conferencing business. And if you call BNH they're probably gonna recommend this exact set up because I ran this past them and they said this was a good set up for my sisterI don't usually write reviews I have a reading disability I use text to speech software. This turns my speech into text and I try to use Grammarly to catch spelling and grammar issues so my apologies if there's any of those. Those AKG are mentioned or a semi open back designWhich makes them much better for mixing, and editing the audio, but not good for monitoring
I am delighted with my Shure Aonic 215 earphones. I spent a long time looking for good quality wired earphones - quite hard to find these days as there's so much focus on wireless. They fit really well in your ears meaning there's great noise cancellation, and the audio quality is fantastic - to be expected from Shure. The other great thing is that the cable comes with a microphone so you can also take phone calls. My cable was also replaced at no cost under the two year warranty - very impressed with Shure quality and great customer service. Very happy customer. Thank you.
I recently purchased the Shure Aonic 215 Sound Isolating Earphones with high hopes, but unfortunately, they fell short of my expectations. Despite their reputation and promising features, I found several aspects of these earphones to be disappointing.First and foremost, the sound quality did not live up to the hype. While the earphones provided decent clarity, the overall sound lacked depth and richness. The bass response was particularly underwhelming, resulting in a lackluster listening experience. For the price point, I expected more immersive audio that truly enhanced my music or audio enjoyment. The fit and comfort of the Aonic 215 earphones left much to be desired. The design of the earbuds did not sit well in my ears, causing discomfort and an insecure fit. Even with the assortment of included ear tips, I struggled to find a suitable size that provided both a secure fit and comfort for long listening sessions. This lack of comfort significantly impacted my overall experience with these earphones.Despite being marketed as sound isolating earphones, the Aonic 215 did not effectively block out external noise. I was disappointed to find that the passive noise isolation was inadequate, as I could still hear ambient sounds and distractions. This compromised my ability to fully immerse myself in my music or audio content, especially in noisy environments.Furthermore, the build quality of these earphones left me concerned about their durability. The cable felt flimsy and prone to tangling, which was inconvenient during everyday use. The lack of any form of sweat or water resistance was also a drawback, as it limited the versatility and durability of the earphones for use during workouts or outdoor activities.Lastly, the value for money aspect of the Aonic 215 earphones was questionable. Considering their relatively high price point, I expected a more well-rounded and exceptional audio experience. Unfortunately, the subpar sound quality, uncomfortable fit, and lackluster noise isolation made it difficult to justify the investment. In conclusion, the Shure Aonic 215 Sound Isolating Earphones left me disappointed on multiple fronts. The underwhelming sound quality, uncomfortable fit, and insufficient noise isolation outweighed any positive features they may have had. Considering the price and performance, I cannot recommend these earphones, as there are better options available in the market offering superior sound quality, comfort, and value for money.
Solid product from Shure. Not as silky and lush as the more expensive models(I use the Shure SE530 series, which were stepped on by my seatmate on a flight to Phoenix). For the return flight I purchased these. With a little patience and work with the EQ you can bring out a solid midrange to complement the bass. On the flight home from Phoenix, I enjoyed the musicality and the sound isolation. Better sound quality than any premium bluetooth phones I have used.
