I have been looking for a small, lightweight, yet sharp solution for a walk around wide angle lens like this for a while, I have tried several other options, but have not been happy with either the size or quality of the lenses. This meets and exceeds my expectations for something this size! Great IQ, Color, and Contrast!

This is a great little prime ultra-wide to have in the bag. I do a lot of shooting with a Sony a7iv, and use the 24-70 f2.8 GM2. On those rare occasions I need a wider angle, I wanted a small ultra-wide. This little prime does the trick. 17mm works well for my needs. The f4 is also fine as I am normally shooting in the f8-f14 range. This lens is indeed sharp ... but not as sharp as a pro f2.8, which you would expect. The lens is light and small yet feels very solid. The all metal contemporary line is indeed a good looking lens. For the money, it's hard to beat this lens! One small note, the mount connection on my Sony is fairly tight. I like this, but it does require a little extra effort to turn the lens when mounting.

Very sturdy, feels solid and well built. Sharp even into the corners at landscape apertures. I'm very happy with the purchase.
