The Silhouette Cameo Plus has all the great perks of the Cameo 4, but it's wider, with a bigger cutting footprint. It can accommodate rolls up to 15"wide. You can create or cut bigger designs with ease.In addition to the machine's larger size, it also has the technology to increase your efficiency and help you work with new materials. The Cameo Plus can cut thicker materials, fabric without a stabilizer backing, and paper without a cutting mat.

I'd rate more like a 3.75. I've been disappointed that no Quick Start physical booklet was enclosed with machine, rather I have to access all info online which can be troublesome with limited wifi in the mountains. Also have purchased other blades as autoblade is lacking in ability to thoroughly cut matte vinyl...haven't tried it on anything else but if matte doesn't get a clean cut set at 6 with a 20 force, I doubt a thicker material would work either. That said, I'm relatively patient and have self taught many editing and sketch programs so I'm learning slowly and with additional $$ expense. Determination and perseverance.

Coming from the Cricut platform, this machine is certainly not quality. It's VERY VERY loud. So, prepare yourself to not be able to hear yourself think if you are working next to this thing. Also, if you are getting this to utilize the 'cut from the roller' feature, be prepared to sporadically lose yards and yards of your vinyl if you plan on cutting longer than 2 feet. The vinyl will get dragged and pulled and it will shift if you take your eye off of it. Another gripe... if you like using Bluetooth to connect to your device, good luck with this one. Just like cutting from the roll, it'll work sporadically. I think the max reach is 10ft and even if you are within 10ft, there's a high chance you'll lose your Bluetooth connection and your machine will stop cutting ... MoreComing from the Cricut platform, this machine is certainly not quality. OH, and lastly, if you you leave your screen on the cut screen for a prolonged time, the program crashes and requires you to force quit.Other than that, when the machine works, it is a dream come true..I would return the thing if it wasn't for me having to pay to reship and this whole C19 pandemic.

Looove the 4+! I’m a watercolor artist and surface designer. I use the cameo mainly to make stickers, produce my own greeting and notecards, turn my designs into decals and screen print, and make hand painted signs. This bundle set me up with everything I needed to get started! Definitely recommend. I’m pretty computer savvy already, so to me the silhouette software was pretty straightforward. Love the extra space for making larger stencils!

This is my very first cutting machine. I don't really know how to use it yet but it did ship out quickly and I received exactly what I ordered. The packing was superior and the the set up so far has been easy. Downloading the software and registration has been so easy as well. After looking through all the guides and designs I'm very impressed with how many different projects you can work with this. I was just looking at making some personalized T-shirts and hoodies for my husbands company. Now I might try to start my own little business. Granted I do not fail miserably and using the software.
As with any new machine, there is a learning curve. Over the last two weeks we have learned a lot through trial and error. There are a few functions that we still haven't quite figured out and loading the material has consistently been a challenge. Yet, we have also made some really fantastic creations! Our focus is going to be on vinyl and to this point the extra width has not made a difference. Overall, we are having a great time and remain pleased with this purchase.
At the start of each new job, I have to “thump” on the top of the blade cartridge as it depresses to advance the blade depth. This is the only way I can get the blade to advance off of zero. For example, if my setting is 3, I tap on the blade cartridge 3x in sync with the machine. The machine normally has a very audible thump sound when it loads the settings so it’s fairly easy to do. This seems to work but for the money I spent for this cutter, I’m not comfortable having to “thump” on it just to get it to cut! Additionally, I spent extra $$$ for the larger 15” capacity to then find out that it’s next to impossible to find 15” wide paper sheets or rolls - ugh!
Just got the card. The rewards are great. I actually stopped by to pick up a few items, went to pay, used a rewards coupon, and payed zero. I felt uncomfortable walking out of the store not paying anything. Great Store. Thank you Michaels.
Awesome cutter. I purchased this cutter because I am starting to use a lot of glitter HTV, and I just didn't really want to cut it with my Graphtec Cutter. The Cameo 4 Plus is very easy to use, and the cut quality has been better than I expected. Not sure how durable the blades are, especially cutting glitter, but replacements are super cheap. USCutter put these on sale, and I had been thinking about getting one, so the deal was enough to make me pull the trigger and I am glad i did.
Treated myself to new machine. Already have a cameo. The cameo 4 plus is faster and can cut thicker materials. Delighted with my purchase.
The silhouette cameo 4 plus is a beautiful machine, but also has been incredibly irritating to troubleshoot. It is infamous for having trouble detecting the lineup markers. There’s forums upon forums of people who have gotten pretty much 0 response from silhouette america. The machine itself has a lot of great features and it cuts great. It is better than cricut in a lot of ways, but the problem is, it is so hard to use half the time I almost regret buying it. I chalk most of this up to silhouette go being not getting the work it needs. It has a lot of issues, such as color will not print accurately as long as you use silhouette go. not using silhouette go to print means you have to buy a pix scan mat and every time you need to print and cut you have to take a photo ... MoreThe silhouette cameo 4 plus is a beautiful machine, but also has been incredibly irritating to troubleshoot. It has a lot of issues, such as color will not print accurately as long as you use silhouette go. not using silhouette go to print means you have to buy a pix scan mat and every time you need to print and cut you have to take a photo or scan your work before and send it to silhouette go. this is great except it has trouble reading anything with a glare if you use a phone or tablet to take a photo of it. this includes laminate for stickers and anything else shiny or not matte. the whole process is really excessive. This isn’t accounting for trying to get the finicky bluetooth working or having to realign because the cut is off (literally out of the box). for the price of this machine it should be easy to use. however, this is not JOANN stores fault, just silhouette america. so overall, it is a nice, good looking machine, but the process of cutting takes longer than just cutting them by hand.
