Owned for only a few weeks. I am using it and it works well, seems quite rugged..My only complaint is the rubber retainers that hold the USB 3.0 cables to the drive case's perimeter routinely fall our. Just a nuisance and they can be re-installed. Easy to lose them..The USB 3.0 cable is a tad short but workable {too short for a good sized tower}. You can order longer cables as this is a standard cable industry wide. I have used a 3 foot cable and the drive still worked {buy quality cables!}..Chris.Milford, N.H.

The harddrives seem to go into the rubber part of the enclosure fine, but the outer parts don't seem to want to close in. There is significant space around them after putting in the screws.

This is a plus, as i plan to use it to bring photos to a family reunion. I haven't tested this aspect, but the construction feels solid with silicon corners. There is a short video on the amazon product page. The 1Tb ends up being about 970gb. It is fast! I transferred over 40,000 files in less than 20 minutes. It comes with a short 3.0 USB cord that clips around the edge of the hard drive for convenient carry. So far, I love it!

I've used a lot of 1T External Hard Drives. Silicon Power is my favorite brand by far! They really do well if you drop them and they last for years. As a habit, I only like to fill mine up to half full or 700gb max and then get a new one. These are the best brand I've used and I don't see a reason to change back to another brand again. GREAT VALUE for a GREAT PRICE!! I love how the cord doesn't get fidgety and stop working either (like some of the micro inputs) These USB to USBs are awesome and FAST! I work directly off of mine.
It is not a waterproof as described since the USB slot can be damaged easily as it is exposed to water as well the board
Quiet and quick. Comes with everything you need. Holds the usb cord around it. Has the space to backup your hard drive and work.
It was fast getting to me and once opened it up it was in great condition plugged it into my computer and tested it out by putting a few things on it and then removed the external hard drive and replugged it in my stuff was still on there. So far it's been awesome.
It looks just as described so far Ive saved my school projects on it , it was easy and fast. I love the appearance and I didnt know that it holds the usb cable as well so theyre always together. So far so good
