OK, the price was what attracted me in the first place, but when this wad delivered I was impressed! Combination of black hard plastic and fluoro green silicon rubber casing, high military spec shock-proofing. The design is interesting, with the rubber casing flap covering the USB port when not in use, and the cable clipping onto the casing when not in use. The socket is type A, so both cable ends identical. An activity LED flashes red or blue accirding to activity. The manufacturer's website offers some additional software.

I have been backing up my photos and videos on this and it is quick and easy to use. It ìs a great size and can be carries in a pocket or bag to use any time. Great value too!

Bought this as an external drive for a Freeview DVR and it works OK for video files. It features an LED which is useful to show that writing etc. is in progress. Only quibble is about the cable clamps, which can detach too easily and are likely to be lost.

arrived quickly, but probably the best purchase ive made in a while, easy setup does exactly what it claims, some reviews say its slow in some instances have not seen it. My daughter needed more space on her laptop so she could play all her origin games(Sims 3&4). Thank you!!
Its been only few weeks since I bought this. So far I am very happy with its performance. The CONs are connecting cable is too short and the storing the cable on the drive is not so well designed. Improvement is needed on these.
I bought this to make backups of my personal data and wanted something I could carry around in a backpack without risking damaging it. The casing seems high quality and sturdy enough and the hard drive itself is sourced from Toshiba. Silicon Power isn't the most well known brand but it's been around for almost 20 years and is well regarded. Also happy to support 'made in Taiwan' products.

Serious piece of technology bought this as a replacement it's a lovely colour, size, and having a hard outter casing no worries if I accidentally drop it. I love that the connections are the same, and the light indicator is brilliant too, the best of all is that you will never lose your connectors, as they are always on the body and I do not have to search though loads of leads
I bought this as an external drive for a Freeview TV programme recorder. This drive meets the high read/write speeds for the video files. There is an access status LED that is useful for showing writing in progress during long file transfers. The shock-proofing increases its size compared with standard types. The cable clamps are useful for retaining the USB cable with the drive, but my only quibble is that they are prone to becoming detached.
I bought this several weeks ago and have been very pleased with it. It is very compact and lightweight after the metal monster I had previously and it runs all the time in the background so it registers the slightest change of hour data. Brilliant price too.
