Large is way to big/long. Large fits in simms other bibs but these 4 inches past my toes. Also zipper comes unhooked at bottom like jackets . Tough to get started. Sent back for large CX bibs great but No pliers pocket and not Gore Tex

This is my second ProDry suit and it’s better than the previous model which was tough to beat. They took the outside vertical zip pocket off the chest and put a non zip smaller pouch on the inside which is perfect for phone, wallet, license, etc. The strap harness has been changed to a simpler not as cumbersome design. I am usually a large but buy the XL for the room when I layer on cold days. The wind and water proof performance shines on this suit and is all the protection you will need!

The bibs fit perfectly - I'm a medium and there is room for decent sized base layers under it. They cut the wind and are rainproof. The only down side is that the chest zipper has dual zippers without a close at the end, and it can be difficult to negotiate with cold hands. I also love the way they look. I've had them for only a few weeks, so the jury is out on their long term durability. For now, these are the best of the four rain bibs I currently own.

I live in gore text bibs. I'm on the water close to 300 days a year fishing in every condition mother nature can throw at us. These bibs are by far the best I have worn. I have been wearing them for about six months and they still look great. I do wash these on gentle when they need it and put them in the dryer on low/med heat to dry them. I have found keeping them clean will definitely enhance the longevity of the bib. I was able to get about ten years out a pair of challenger bibs doing this.I do have a few suggestions I would like to see on this bib. One suggestion is beef up and water proof the cargo pockets. I use the cargo pockets a ton for hand towels and light gear, they are great until soaked. The other is as much as I like the plier holder in theory but ... MoreI live in gore text bibs. Also thanks for keeping it classy Simms and NOT putting huge logos on them.
I am a fly fishing guide on the water close to 300 days a year and I NEVER write reviews. But I’m upset and wet right now.At first, these bibs were amazing. Unbeatable. After a couple months, of near daily use, they began to suck. The stitching (everything Simms makes now) has fallen apart, the Velcro has peeled off, the boot zippers have cracked, and the waterproofing has seemed to disappear(which I should probably treat). Now, before you argue that I put them to use harshly, and a lot.... isn’t that why I bought a $600 pair of bibs? Most of my problems started with only a couple months of use. Winters in Arkansas, and I did not wear them during my summer Colorado. As a guide, I’m not THAT upset because I 100% understand that I’ve put gear through the test. But little things like the stitching, which I have seen decline in far too many Simms products, should not deteriorate within a couple months. With all of this being said, if you have the money... and are a weekend warrior... BUY THEM.If you’re a guide on the verge... I’d get the cheaper pair because these things won’t last very long for the money. And Simms won’t even repair the issues.
Needed a professional goretex waterproof suit for the boat and researched all around and these had the best reviews and ratings. So I went to scheels in search of these and they had them on close out I picked up the bibs for $200.00 unbeatable price and the jacket for $179.00I can't wait to test these on rough water and wind in the cold.I am pretty confident I will suffer no more on the boat and focus more on the fishing.Scheels always has the best customer service in the storeThey are determined on being sure you are set up with what you came to get.Look on the sale racks and talk to employees they go the distance for the customer and really work hard to give the best service to their customers.Don't forget to ask them to scan and check what price they will ... MoreNeeded a professional goretex waterproof suit for the boat and researched all around and these had the best reviews and ratings. So I went to scheels in search of these and they had them on close out I picked up the bibs for $200.00 unbeatable price and the jacket for $179.00I can't wait to test these on rough water and wind in the cold.I am pretty confident I will suffer no more on the boat and focus more on the fishing.Scheels always has the best customer service in the storeThey are determined on being sure you are set up with what you came to get.Look on the sale racks and talk to employees they go the distance for the customer and really work hard to give the best service to their customers.Don't forget to ask them to scan and check what price they will ring up at you will be amazed when they are even lower than the sale price.
I gave it three stars because of the shoulder straps. For the price of over $600 dollars I feel that simms drop the ball that feature. I’m not impressed. I have their old model and I love the shoulder strap them. I bought these new rain bib as a backup. I only had the new ones a couple of times and the shoulder straps keeps rolling up. The actual bib with the exception of the shoulder strap is awesome.
After losing my old ProDry Bibs in the 2021 Dixie Fire at Lake Almanor, I purchased these as replacement. Material-wise they are what you would expect from Simms and Gore, but the new designed shoulder straps are terrible. You constantly have to readjust the tension, and I don’t care for the V back. I much preferred the old style, hi back, H-style straps with the neoprene that rode comfortably on your shoulders and never lost adjustment.
I travel and film every other week, and take on 4 boat trips so far, Santa Barbara, Tampa, Hoh River, and Palestine.*Pull it on when I arrive at the marina, and gear up microphones and batteries in the pockets, so convenient and warm;*Keep my comfort in the morning breeze and rain;*Take it off when the sun is up, and it's so lightweight to be packed in my bag.Best of the best!
I've had these for around a year so far. I didn't want to put up a review until I had the chance to use them in some very wet conditions. I don't do a lot of fishing/guiding in heavy rain, thus I haven't had to use these very often, but when I have, they've been excellent. The only time I've gotten wet in my Simms raingear is when I've left a zipper open. Once everything is sealed/zipped up, I stay bone-dry. The bibs are super-light and super waterproof. They are extremely comfortable and I never feel that my movement is restrained when wearing them. I'm 6' 4" tall and the XL fits very well.
