I've been using this soap for decades but since the recent reformulation the bar goes mushy and disintegrates into lumps which are difficult to rinse off. The bars don't last anything as long because of this, and they are also 25% smaller than the old size.

100g used to cost 55p and now costs 68.75p, an increase of 25%. The packaging remains identical in size and shape with no indication of the change except 4 x 100g instead of 4 x 125g. I've used Simple Soap for over a decade, but this arrogant behaviour makes me very cross. They've lost my custom.

I've been in touch with their customer relations, and the only point of my review on which they commented was about the new shape, which they say is better. I've found a suitable non-perfumed alternative (sorry, I can't advertise here), and will not be buying Simple soap again. Always buy this soap, but noticed that the size of each bar has recently decreased by 20%, down from 125g to 100g. As the last 25g is too small to use anyway and gets thrown away, I will be wasting proportionately more with these smaller bars. I would actually have preferred a price rise to a reduction in bar size.
Manufacturer has changed the product via shrinkflation and quality. This soap is now not worth buying any more and represents really poor value for money. It now has (through a curve whereas it used to be a full bar) 15 or 20% less soap. Why do producers ruin what used to be good products. As a consumer it makes me really angry

Resizing and reshaping the bar is such a bad idea. Now it goes soft and gloopy so much faster. Shrinkflation strikes again! If the costs have gone up, just put the price up. Don't try and get one over the customer. It's really irritating and drives a lot of us away.
