I am sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced.You will need to have your purchase receipt and fill out the attached form when taking your machine to be repaired.Thank you for choosing Singer."So keep trying a location that moved, dropped Singer from their name, stopped selling or advertising Singer products and services, and sells competitor products, and is too small or busy to help you anyway? I was excited when I first got this machine. It had all the features I wanted for now and it was supposed to handle most anything. It did great sewing straight and zigzag stitches on my lightweight to medium fabric. Awesome! But then came doing a simple button hole. I’m not new to button holes, so no worries there, right? Wrong. This machine couldn’t get through one of them without wanting to stop at some point in the process and just stitch in one place, the first button while it just made a big mess, and almost ruin my fabric. The only way I could get through a button hole was to respond as quickly as possible as soon as it started stitching in place and help it along until it decided to go again. No matter how many times I rethreaded the machine, double check the threading to make sure it was freely able to move, rechecked the bobbin and bobbin area for anything amiss. At one point instead of a clicking noise it just made a slamming sound similar to when a needle hits a straight pin and breaks, except there was no straight pin for it to hit. Needless to say, everything has come to a stop and customer service acknowledged there was an issue. Transferred me to the a different department so I could return the machine where I was out on hold for an incredibly long time only for her to pick up again and ask me what I needed! She realized it was me and then said everyone’s busy because of the holidays and I can just go on their website and make the request. Did that two days ago. Was supposed to receive a return label within 24 hours but did not, so requested again and took a snapshot of the request. Still waiting for a return label. I am very disappointed now, not only with the machine and the lack of quality control from the factory, but now also with the customer service. I hope I’m not given the run around.

I do some leather work and my Cobra 4 industrial machine (will sew through 1" of leather) just won't work properly using lighter materials, leather canvas or what not. I first bought the 44S thinking it would fill the bill, so to speak, with the walking foot. Unfortunately it failed due to lack of power. SO I bought the 4452 as it was advertised as HD with a more powerful motor. Nothing could have been further from the truth, they are both identical. Walking foot on I decided to make a tote bag as per a Singer project pattern. The tote bag has, obviously, exterior fabric plus the liner. This means when sewing the top of the bag there are 2 hidden seams to climb over. I sewed the handles onto the bag with the Cobra as the 4452 would be useless. I'm trying to get out of the holster, belt, leather brief cases due to the price of leather (increased about 50%) and stick to garments, tote bags and lighter materials. I have attached a photo of my Singer tote bag project. Looks like I will have to invest in a Juki or Reliable sewing machine to get the results I want. Anyone want to buy 2 sewing machines? I also attached a photo of my Cobra 4.

I got this primarily for fixing my jeans, shorts, dog toys and dog beds. The dog stuff is easy enough since the material isn't very thick but the shorts and jeans really put my old machine to work having to go through several layers. It wasnt fun or easy at all. But now, I'll do jeans all day! This machine glides through several layers of thick material like its warm butter! I'm beyond impressed! I've already hemmed up several shorts that ripped along the knees, patched some jeans and replaced I dont even know how many broken zippers that my last machine couldn't do. I love this machine and I cant believe I'm this excited about patching up old clothes and fixing ripped dog toys. I highly recommend this machine, you wont regret it.

Mom doesn't want all the electronic and digital stuff that breaks down so easily. So I looked around and found this on sale with the seller. It came with the extended sewing table for those bigger, longer, heavier items too. All the needed pieces were included in the purchase: foot petal, 4 bobbins, 8 regular needles, 2 specialty needles, 4-5 different presser feet, 2 spool holders, 1 spool stick, combo brush/pick tool, even fabric feeder, maybe a few little things more. I am not sure how I’ve gone this long without having one! Set up was so easy and the instructions were well written and easy to understand. It ran nicely, didn’t give off any weird burnt smells like I’ve read from other users and it withstood the wool and several cotton pieces at once. Also it nicely sews just a strip of cotton fabric too. I don’t use all of the attachments it comes with but glad they are made available. I'll be honest, I'm a novice at sewing, but I'm also needing to hem or fix jeans, reattach buttons, fix tears in clothes and jackets all the time. I also sometimes sew logo patches on to shirts and jackets. I finally made the decision to invest in a SINGER and I decided to go with the heavy duty one and do not regret it! My husband is a mechanic and is hard on clothes and in some of the bigger tears or rips, we've just thrown jeans away, so I'm so excited to save more pairs of jeans and not feel so wasteful. They were really impressed with the machine and love that it came with the extension table - especially when you're working ... MoreI'll be honest, I'm a novice at sewing, but I'm also needing to hem or fix jeans, reattach buttons, fix tears in clothes and jackets all the time. I also sometimes sew logo patches on to shirts and jackets. I finally made the decision to invest in a SINGER and I decided to go with the heavy duty one and do not regret it! My husband is a mechanic and is hard on clothes and in some of the bigger tears or rips, we've just thrown jeans away, so I'm so excited to save more pairs of jeans and not feel so wasteful. They were really impressed with the machine and love that it came with the extension table - especially when you're working with jeans, the extra space is great! They also mentioned that it's got a great starter kit with all of the accessories, especially with the extra needles and seam ripper. The speed is impressive and it effortlessly sews up jeans and other heavy duty materials. It feeds smoothly (I'm still getting used to the foot peddle) but I haven't had any problems so far!
Not much time to use before review was due. My project was a bag made from upholstery fabric with a cotton liner. Machine sewed great on both fabrics. Used the provided Jeans needle for the heavy fabric. Very little problems going through several layers. It would have been helpful if the presser foot could have higher clearance by as I tried to feed thick seams under to begin project. Also the speed was fine sewing long straight seams but would have been helpful if I could have set it to a slower speed working around circle edges. The foot peddle a little stiff so more pressure resulted in a fast speed.Light weight. Easy to move to table and attachable table great for sewing larger pieces together. I could use the wide foot to help hold seams together yet move needle to the right to produce the 1/4 seam I wanted. I also used the overcast foot on my edges for smooth edge. I have difficulty seeing small things so the self threaded is perfect for my eye Sight.The only reason I rated this a 4 instead of a 5 was the height of presser foot clearance making it difficult to get thick seams started. Two of these 4452 machines broke on me in less than the first two months of use. I was simply sewing hook and loop material on to polyester strap webbing. There is actually nothing heavy duty about sewing these types of materials except the are a little thick. I chose to use a #18 leather needle because that type of needle has a cutting top which would make it easier on the machine. They still broke dispute the extra precautions I took to protect the machines. I was even hand turning the stitches over strap layers and using the Singer so called walking foot. Their walking foot is not a walking foot. Using the term walking foot to describe this foot is simply misleading as well as the term "Heavy Duty".
