If you are new to anamorphic lenses or anamorphic lenses in this price range you can put your concerns to rest. Very happy with IQ and build quality. You can get crazy with the lens flares if you want but easily control them by steeping down aperture. If you are using this one or especially the 100m for talking head I wouldn't shoot wide open.

Very happy with the lens. Exactly as wonderful as reviews have stated, though hard to go back to manual focusing... Sure that will become easier again over time and look forward to working a bit more ambitiously in anamorphic.
