his lens is a good fit, handles well, is well designed and sharp, but with a cinematic look, not "G-Master" or "Leica" sharp. I like the 180 degree throw and it is super smooth to focus. I also have for 7 Artisan lenses and appreciate the shorter and lighter throw of this one. The speed is genuinely useful. All I want now is a wider lens for my M43 camera (16mm I hope). It also cosmetically matches my IRIX lens which is kinda cool.

Relatively well-built lens for the price compared to other cheap cine lenses. Chromatic Aberration is pretty under control for the most part, even wide open. Very sharp especially stopped down a little from wide open. The focus ring is smooth and loose, so even the weakest motors will have no problem with it. Extremely compact, as well. Way smaller than I even thought it would be. Honestly very surprised overall. Took a chance and I’m not sad at all. Probably going to pick up the other two lenses now that I’ve gotten the chance to test this one. Hoping for a 12mm or a 16mm and a 75-85mm are coming soon to bookend the set. Sirui is pumping out some surprisingly good products.

If you're a beginner to cinematography and are looking to dip your feet into the world of of cine lenses then this is a great place to start without breaking the bank. The focus ring and aperture rings are very smooth which is great although sometimes I wish they had a little more friction to them cause you can easily move them accidentally. Overall quality is great! You can get some really sharp video/images and its night capabilities are incredible. Great low-light shooting without noise. (I mainly do night street cinematography/photography). As for chromatic aberration, it is present but it's not something I personally mind very much. I love the creative effect it creates. 24 mm lens I love it I will use the word cinematic because it really gives that impression effect look to it I’m very happy with it boca is soo satisfying and the feeling of the lens itself is just great! So yes before you buy it think about because your gonna want to get the all series.
Lens is by far a great value for the money. Focusing dial is smooth, aperture is the same just absolute smooth. Photos are crisp and that aperture really collects light. I will be buying more of this brand of lens. B&H Photo has a great product here if you ask me.
Good build quality and image quality. Also, the weight is just perfect. 0 complains about the lens except for the excessive amount of chromatic aberration.
I received this lens, the 35mm, very quickly after watching countless reviews and doing plenty of research. Out of the box it had nice weight to it, and is made from quality materials. On camera the quality it extremely good the focus and aperture ring are super smooth l, a little sensitive but over all feels great, for the price of the lens I have no complaints other than that I didn’t buy the other two in the set. Which I will soon. I am using it on my fx30 and love it! Maybe I’ll try the anamorphic lens next :)
After just two purchases from the website, I am now a full B&H supporter! I have purchased both the FX30 and the Sirui nightwalker lenses from here, and have a great process both times. It’s really straightforward navigating the website, and my favorite part has to be the suggested accessories to the items you browse. It wasn’t until I saw the nightwalker lenses at the top of the suggested accessories that I decided to start researching them! After placing my order, the package arrived super fast! I could barely contain my excitement and waited for the delivery man the whole afternoon. The lenses were packaged super well and super protected, which is one of the main reasons I order through B&H. I felt so special, like those tech YouTubers that do unboxing videos. After cherishing every moment and unboxing them, it was time to try the lenses out. They had amazing quality and were absolutely worth every penny! With all my excitement, I immediately had to shoot a couple test shots. This experience was perfectly executed and has truly made me a B&H fan! I now have made an entire wishlist dedicated to the film equipment I plan to collect to get my production company started. Next, I plan to buy a solid tripod and get started on building up my camera rig. Though I know it will take a lot of baby steps to make my dreams come true, I’m happy B&H is there to help me get there!
I needed an affordable ultrafast cine prime, for my Sony FS7 Mark2 cine camera with an E mount. it looked great, but the focus marks for away off the actual distance of the test chart, the test chart of 1 m away, focused at 2 m on the lens, and the lens would not focus at infinity. I tried the lens on my friends, Sony, 6700 camera and it worked perfectly. Upon doing research on YouTube I came across a video showing how to remove the shims that are between the lens and the mount. I removed all three shims and now the lens works perfectly. I love the look I love the price, but I wish I didn’t have to take the lens apart to make it work.
