It is easy to set up and adjust, ball head moves smoothly and knobs were easy to turn and set. Worked well on our last two shoots.
Needed a backup/second tripod. I did like the feature set and got it at great price on one-day deal. But even at sale price, much less normal price, avoid. Head is not removable, fluid action is balky. I have cheap Cayer BV30s for my slider and jib that around $120 and they lack a couple of features, but just as sturdy and better built.And while my Cayer perfectly takes my Manfrotto plates for my main nice Manfrotto carbon fiber, this only sort of does. They go in but don't snap or slide all the way.Then one spreader arm broke after a few hours use. Yes, we were bracing it with a foot to raise up, but it's held in place with a little plastic clip. Useless. As soon as I get it fixed, selling it.
Tripod is very sturdy, even with my rugged on-the-go schedule where I'm tossing it in my truck. Always best to use the case with it. Works great.
Tripod holds my cameras and other things well, not fish though, don’t try and prop up fish
Bought this as a 'daily-deal' offer because I needed to capture event videography (and my last attempts using a ball head or 3-way were not great) on a budget. My first fluid-head tripod, so perhaps others are better - but this one is good enough for my needs. Also found that it works well with my wife's Kowa spotting scope - smooths out the jerkiness and makes it easier to find/track birds. Which means I may never get it back :-)
Bought it for my young filmmaker son. Used it in a gif said it had fluid like movements and helped capture the right angles through a 20 take orchestra recording project it has a dial that offers some resistance to how lose the head is while still operating in a smooth manner. .the gentleman in that section was very helpful in selecting that one and it came with a zippered case and clips to hold the legs in a closed position. He also demonstrated the tripod for us. Feels very sturdy and not cheap. It was night to be used with a lumix gh5 also purchased from B&H which is an authorized dealer so it only made sense to buy it there
Very low orice for this quality
After using this tripod on a few project I really trust the build.It easy to use and transport with the carry bag. For under $400 this is the best video tripod you can buy if you don't need the taller version. From a respected brand, I've owned a Sirui mono pod for 5+ years now and its never failed me so i'm expecting the same quality and lifespan from this tripod.The build quality has been excellent so far and is a combination of plastic and metal. And it also comes with a nice carrying bag with plenty of room for other equipment.
