When it comes to energy gels it's all a matter of taste. What's good for some isn't so good for others. Although the flavour was ok I couldn't get away with the texture. I've said that I wouldn't recommend them, but that's just personal preference.

Bought these on 'special or clearance as reduced to 50p per gel. Great price and great product when the going gets tough and you need an urgent sugar hit to get through the pain and suffering.
Gels are great if you know how to use them! Remember not to overdue it, but gels are amazing to give you the energy you need especially on a long ride. These satchels are easy to open with your teeth whilst you're riding, without stopping. The texture is smooth and will go down in a couple of seconds, which is great for when you're far into your ride and your stomach is more likely to struggle to digest more complex solid foods. The flavour is not too bad, but again it goes down so quickly that the flavour doesn't really matter - just focus on getting those carbs down and keep pedalling!
I've been using this flavour (and most of the others from SIS) on 3-5 hour rides and they make everything a bit more bearable. I find the taste quite appealing but I still recommend you try some of the more exotic flavours in advance, during less important events, to see how well you cope.The one other thing I would say is to not rely solely on these gels for good energy levels throughout your ride; don't skip on a good breakfast before your ride.
Haven't really had an electrolyte like this before but had gels previously. It's a bit odd, but it seems to work. Just watch out for odd flavours.
During a long ride, and when you feel as though your about to hit 'the wall', this product provides the energy boost needed to finish a ride.I've used these several times now, and they have become a part of my riding kit. This is because after 30+ miles I get the extra energy which combats the onset of fatigue.Perfect!!!
