Junior version: Extremely difficult to mould despite numerous attempts. Hardens too quickly, flimsy to work with and slips/moves easily during the moulding process. Left uncomfortable and unusable. Overall disappointing especially for the price paid.

DOES NOT work for braces

Bought for my son who plays soccer. Followed directions and molded into his mouth. The bite guard was SO molded to his teeth it was completely stuck and hardened onto/around his braces. We tried but could not remove it from his mouth.Fortunately, my son got the bright idea to put some hot water in his mouth and soften it up a bit. We had to use fairly hot water and he had a hard time keeping it in his mouth because it was so darn hot. We were able to soften it up enough to get it out but it did end up bending his wire and one bracket came loose.Might be great for plane teeth, but if you have braces I definitely would avoid it.

Disappointed (sorry)

Thank you at least for the idea and glimmer of hope with this product.I wanted to love this product. However my seven year old and have not been able to get it molded properly for him. I have gotten three brand new Sisu pieces so that I could keep trying. After molding stretched the first one and I had tried more than twenty molds with the second one. I finally realized that maybe the only way to get it molded on tough areas like behind the teeth and into the front teeth gum area might be to bring it to a dentist. But when I mentioned to the office manager she said she would ask the dentist and get back to me. She finally said they don’t fit for mouthguards.Any advice or someone to walk me through at this point would be appreciated.

Great buy

Great mouth guard. I already owned one of these before purchasing. They make it easy to talk and drink with while playing sport. They are thin so you can breathe easier and it doesnt give you that aweful feeling like usual mouthguards do. Once youve tried this type of mouth guard you wont go back to regular ones. Highly recommend this product.

Not because first two failed, but we like to renew them every season.Especially now during COVID it’s so important for kids not to touch their mouthguard with dirty hands. SISU one can be remolded at any time during its lifetime, which allows for a great fit (our child is 7, picked size SMALL mouthguard). Kids grow, loose baby teeth, get new teeth - we always can re-mold our mouthguard and get a perfect fit and make sure it stays in place without bugging our kids.Before investing in SISU we purchased 2 popular ones and couldn’t get either one to fit. Lightweight and comfortable

Amazing mouthguard! I have worn mouthguards since 1985 and this is the most natural and comfortable fit to date! As a coach, I am constantly needing to remove mouthguards to talk but with this one, I can have a normal conversation without sounding like I have a mouthful of marbles!Small and thin it is very lightweight with limited dribble build up. I have not worn for rugby or striking combat sports, only jiu jitsu wrestling but feels great for this sport!

NextGen Junior Guard

Well, SISU, you have carried the excellence of the full sized guards into the Jr. Guard!I am one of the Girls Program Directors for a Youth and HS Lacrosse Organization out in Albuquerque, NM. We have been converting all the girls (and boys) to SISU's. It is the only mouth guard that I recommend anymore.My 6 year old son just started studying the Martial Arts and we picked this up for his first tournament. He is on the Autism Spectrum, so we weren't sure this was going to work out well, but our concerns about him reacting to something in his mouth never surfaced!Again, great job! My daughter has been using a SISU for the last 3 seasons and now my son. You've sold us!

Not enough protection

Got this for my 11yr old son playing U14. The mouthguard is much too small as a medium. Difficult to form and definitely not enough protection. He prefers his older one even though it is harder to communicate with his team.

Well worth extra money!

Best fit mouthguard for wee ones. Stays in mouth and still able to talk and drink. My daughter struggled with basic mouth guard, staying in and not being comfortable. This is amazing as once it’s in, it stays in!Only thing I did find was, it is tricky to mould and fit. We did have several attempts at this but thankfully can be done up to 20 times so in end got it perfect.Fast shipping, overall excellent service! Recommend this mouthguard, well worth the extra cost to protect those teeth!

[Rewarded Review] Great concept for youth, didn’t work for us

I needed a smaller mouth piece for my son because others were just too large for him. After reading, this sounded like the best option. Unfortunately the mold continued to fold on itself when trying to fit it to my son’s mouth. Once it folded on itself it was pretty much useless. And of course you can’t return something like this. Might work well for others, just didn’t for us.
