This was what a coworker recommended to me when I asked him how to get set up for making car battery changes on the job go more swiftly. I ordered an extra battery and this is a great bargain!My only complaint is that it didn't come with a set of impact driver bits, which would NOT have been THAT cost prohibitive to iclude in the package set.Other than that, I am completely satisfied up to this point!

Skil has stepped it’s game up with these 12v brushless drills. A lot if forward thinking features in this drill/impact combo kit and for the price no other competitor can compete. I have no regrets in making this decision to purchase this kit. Honestly, I was looking to buy the Bosch 12 drill combo kit at Lowe’s for $99, and now looking back, if I would have bought the Bosch 12v kit, I would have slapped myself! Do yourself a favor and just pick these drills up and call it a day!

I am a carpenter and saw that these tools got great reaviews to i "got them for my girlfriend" to use. I used them to deck a trailer and they are awesome 12 volt tools. They fit great in the hand and are more precise with power than my contractor grade tools. I bpught the circular the next week. My girlfriend wont let me take them to work.

After just a few weeks and NO use of the drill portion of this combo kit, the drill no longer works - the impact driver is fine so I know the battery is not the problem. However, when I attempt to run the drill, it just makes a short click noise and the handle led light blinks - complete waste of money. I expected more out of Skil.
The 12V Brushless Drill and Impact guns are quite compact and very convenient to use for all purposes of household DIY jobs.While the Drill is supremely reliable and never misses a beat, I cannot say the same about the Impact driver. Squeezing the trigger suddenly causes the bit to turn backwards slowly about 50% of the times (backwards meaning opposite to the intended setting) and squeezing the trigger slowly/gradually causes the bit the turn backwards slowly 100% of the times.I don't know why only the Impact driver behaves in this way because the Drill always performs flawlessly.After submitting this review, I intend to contact Skil's Warranty department for resolution. At least we have 3 years warranty, which I will need to claim.
Awesome product for home workshop use! Really cuts the cord. Quick re-charge too! I mean when you do have to recharge it. The battery lasts all day!
Great so far! Built a 8x8' preasure treated platform out of 2Ă—6 stringers & deck boards. Lots of 3.5" large Lag & deck screws along with 12, 8" large Lag bolt screws for storage shed unit. No problems, very impressed! Light weight to. Used them both (drill & impact) with 15 yr old grandson. 4 stars cause, forgot which one (think the drill driver), had a split second delay on start up when pulling trigger on & off but never noticed it under load when using it & screwing the lumber together. 2nd reason not 5 stars, haven't had it long enough to brag about longitivty yet.
When i purchased this product i really thought it would perform to high quality of standard but unfortunately it does not. The drill has poor trigger response and the torque on it is sad. I am an appliance technician and i need a drill i can count on, unfortunately this is not it. The quick release impact gun is the same way. Poor trigger response and the battery which is new is bad. When i am using it to drill in a 1/4 screw on a dryer or washer what happens is that the lite on the impact gun flickers and stumbles then turns on and works which is not reliable at all, i say the only goog thing about this impact is the actual light it has, other then that poor quality...
