An artist needs the right tools.

Light weight, long lasting and powerful. Haven't used hammer setting yet. A building isn't just a heap of materials bolted together. It's a work of art and an artist needs the right tools for his creations. I bought this Skill drill hammer for my latest creation. Take your first step onto this deck and you'll know this is an original quality built work of functional art.

Still waiting for the replacement. Overheated? while drilling an 1/8" steel plate. About the 10th time using it..

Great drill but bad for concrete.

It's decent at wood drilling and general work. But it's way underpowered for concrete. Average drill time in 3.5" thick concrete was 8 to 12 minutes per hole. Yes it works, but underpowered. No fault of SKIL, it's a small drill so one cannot expect the hammer and anvil assembly to be robust like a Bosch Bulldog Extreme. The kit supplied with the drill is amazing for the value.

Light and easy to use
5 December 2020

I am a woman and got tired of hiring handyman for simply things. The drill I had just made it very difficult to drill holes in our concrete walls. With this drill I was able to drill holes for gutter covers, curtain rods, etc. Easy to handle and not heavy. Would defined recommend for things around the house

Motor smoking
22 December 2021

Great drill...In fact, this was my go to drill, whenever I ran out of battery life on my 18v Dewalt driver. Unfortunately, after 1 yr, the motor started smoking (probably brushes), after using it to drill out some holes on some kitchen cabinet brackets...I couldn't believe it.I then let the tool cool down til the next day and still it smoked after a few seconds of use. I thought it was maybe the brushes and took it apart but I couldn't find any and google or youtube was no help.So now I'm stuck with what use to be a great drill, which I thought would last a lifetime, since I am just a DIYer and don't use drills every day. I'll guess I'll get an electric Hammer Drill cause I don't trust these battery ones.

Perfect drill for DIY homeowner
7 July 2024

So far I have been very happy with my new drill and charger. I liked the light weight and smaller size. I also, like the 4 options of sre, drill or hammer. Perfect drill for the do it yourself home owner.

Perfectly meets my DIY needs. Powerful, comfortable to hold, superb battery life and good features. The bits and tool that came with the case are terrific. Great value for the price! Thank you Skil!

This drill is a great buy.
9 November 2022

I returned the drill to the store. I am planning to purchase the brushless version of this item.I gave this drill a five star rating because it is really great buy when compared to it's competition. ⭐A couple of the other SKIL cordless tools, that I own, have definitely out performed cordless tools I have previously own.

Very limited power
21 September 2022

Unfortunately the unit does not have the power that can handle the work to be done. The chuck can be held and it will stop. With that limited power it is nearly impossible to use the drill for penetrating concrete or other hard substances.
