I was excited to try this brand which I read to be one of the top ones for skincare; however, I found this cleanser way too drying for my skin. Rather than seeing a luminous, plump complexion, I ended up with this super dry skin and applying more hydrating serum and moisturiser. I’ve tried other glycolic cleansers before like Skinstitut which has a creamy texture and worked really well for me. Bottom line, if you have dry skin like mine, stay away from gel cleansers. I gave this one a shot just because it was also recommended for dry skin, but it didn’t work for me, quite disappointed!

Favorite Cleanser

I started investing in my skincare about 4 months ago and I feel like I’ve been using this product long enough to give a review. Because it has glycolic acid in it, I only use it in the mornings when I’m not using retinol or BHA’s on my skin. I started out using it morning and evening, but that irritated my skin, then I made the switch to once a day and it will be a staple cleanser in my skincare routine for the rest of my life. This cleanser helped minimize my pores and clear up some acne scars. I’ve also had rosacea all my life and this seemed to help with that as well. I am very please and the bottle lasts me a long time so I think the price is a steal. Highly recommend!!

Good results

SkinCeuticals carries an excellent line of products., although their prices can be high, the cost of this cleanser seems very reasonable. I am getting very good results, my skin feels incredibly clean, but not dried out after using it I tend to have very oily skin, even at an older age. I feel like this cleanser helps to keep the oil under control, but yet slightly moisturized after cleansing. I live in a climate, that is very hot and humid. During the summer, that is another reason I wanted to try this cleanser out. It is a gel and I prefer a gel cleanser. The only thing I don't like is the smell, it smells very plasticky that's why I gave it four stars.

Greatly Improved Skin

Glycolic cleanser used in am & pm. I also use nightly renewing complex. Little goes a long way! Skinceuticals is a brand that is effective and you can trust. My mature skin quickly improved using this product combined with Skinceuticals Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight. Acne has plagued me since my 20's. It has cleared nearly all breakouts but one or two minor blemishes per month. Also, improvement seen in the texture of my skin - brightened and smooth; I saw a noticeable difference within 3 weeks!! You must slowly introduce to skin to avoid dryness, as well as USE SUNSCREEN daily and apply often when you are out in sun! It does make you more sensitive to sun! Overall extremely happy with all Skinceuticals products! Well worth every penny spent!

Harsh cleanser for sensitive/acne prone skin!!!

I would highly NOT recommend this cleanser if you have sensitive/acne prone skin!!! I used a pretty small amount for just 3 days, but it irritated my cheek, caused redness, and it looked like I had a sunburn. That had never happened to me with a cleanser in my whole life! It also gave me horrendous, painful acne that is taking me almost 2 weeks now to get rid of. As someone who has suffered with acne on and off for 30 years, seeing my skin look as bad as this product caused it to look was absolutely devastating!Over the years, I have learned what works best for my skin, how to manage my acne, and how to keep it very minimal. I have acne-prone, sensitive skin. I had been using Murad's Time Release Cleanser for years now and it had been working wonders for me because it contains salicylic acid. But recently, something changed in my skin and I realized I needed a change. So, I decided to go away from salicylic acid. SkinCeuticals is the first brand I usually look at. I found this cleanser, googled about it, and saw people saying nice things about it. I had to try it. It's only been a few weeks but I can already tell, it's amazing! It didn't lather which meant that it won't dry my face, and it didn't. I also feel like it's taking care of the whiteheads I get sometimes which is exactly why I bought it!

SkinCeuticals Glycolic Renewal Cleanser

I decided to purchase this cleaner after I have read a lot of good reviews about it. I need up to date my ritual skin routine for my mature skin as my pores become bigger also dehydrated. After one week I used SkinCeuticals Glycolic Renewal Cleanser, my skin more radiant, tightened my pore, also help some of my pimples. I only used a small amount of it so you can most likely use it for 3 months which is worth your money! I’m so happy with my skin right now.

The amount of compliments on my skin is unreal

I have had acne prone oily skin my enter adult life. My pore were huge. I started using Tretinoin and it helped tremendously but my pores were still large even though my breakouts stopped. Since using this cleanser, my skin has transformed in 2 weeks. I’m literally glowing. My skin is no longer oily and my pores are NON existent. Zero breakouts and super smooth and soft radiant skin. I’m obsessed. Please never stop making this. Ever! I’ve get several compliments a day and I’ve never gotten compliments on my skin in my life. Thank you!

Use Sun Protection

First time using this cleanser and noticed less pigmentation after several days. Instructions say to avoid sun due to making the skin more sensitive so i use lots of sunscreen ( i use skinceuticals brand sunscreen). I primarily look for products that are non-comedogenic; paraben, synthetic-fragrance,dye, alcohol, and soap-free and glad I found this. I am a loyal fan of skinceuticals (vouch for vitamin c serum) and am now able to expand my regime to include this step.
