I don’t think I I have rosacea or eczema, but I do have hypermengtation. My face and neck are red all the time. This product was REALLY expensive and when I just use this product alone, I don’t see results. Or if I do, it only lasts a few hours. If I use it with a green corrector cream then it’ll last a few more hours. I found the dr jart to be too textured for my skin but the rescue balm is the perfect amount of texture and calms my redness when used WITH this Skincueticals product. Overall, for $60+ I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing it. Here’s a photo of my skin before and after my skincare routine.

There are three non-negotiables when it comes to my skincare routine: SPF, antioxidants, and retinol. To maximize absorption, I like washing my face with lukewarm water to open up my pores and applying products while my skin is still damp. It's also crucial to allow a few minutes between layers to allow the serum to penetrate your skin and aid absorption. Once my skin is washed, I apply two to three drops of CE Ferulic to my face, neck, and chest. Next, I use two to three drops of Phyto Corrective Gel and finish with a lightweight sunscreen. I got this as a sample from one of the major online skincare stores. I had it for about a week and a half. I really enjoyed it in the morning because it had a cooling effect and reduced redness. I like it in the PM too because it was calming. I was kind of into the smell too. It addresses any redness, the consistency is nice, and it blends in well with other skincare products. However, SkinCeuticals is expensive and when I buy from them I only purchase the products I absolutely can’t live without. Phyto Corrective is not a must in my skincare routine, but it would be a welcomed plus.

I have fair skin and while mostly in pretty good shape (no acne scares or blemish marks) I do tend to get red splotches, for whatever reason, here and there. These have always calmed down on their own BUT it would take a good amount of time (i.e. hours). I started using this serum (along with the C E Ferulic Antioxidant Serum) and WOW - red blotches are gone by the time I'm out of the bathroom. I can't claim to see a noticeable difference in my skin's texture as I already stated I didn't have an issue with that to begin with, but definitely notice a difference in the soothing/calming aspect of it! Definitely recommend giving it a try if you tend to be a "splotchy gal"!!!
Great for redness, it’s not irritating to my sensitive skin. I use it after the CE Ferulic in the AM. It’s not overly hydrating, but it’s not for that. My moisturizer melts onto it after. 10/10. Would recommend to my red tone/sensitive skin sweeties! As always, Skinceuticals is expensive af, it’s a luxury for sure. But it IS worth it. They have the science behind the efficacy of their products. It’s not just marketing and pretty packaging. They’re the real deal.
I’ve been using this product every day since the beginning of 2021. I have very red uneven blotchy skin. Pros- a little goes a very long way, 2-3 drops covers your whole face. Because of this the $$ price tag isn’t bad, it lasts a long time. Wears well under sunscreen and over other serums if you wait the correct time for layers to dry down. Cons- tacky wet feeling while applying, takes a long time to dry down. It helps reduce redness somewhat just barely, but my redness relief cream from Clinique is more cost effective and produces slightly better results.
I was really excited for something light to add to my routine. I was hoping it would sit more like a serum or facial oil. I feel like I have more small breakouts than I did prior to using this product, and I don’t see it doing much “correcting.” I went out on a whim to change it up a bit, as I usually use SkinMedica or Skin Better Science. I also have an unfortunate time with product pilling. Never in my life have I had an issue, I’ve been using the same mineral sunscreen for at least four years now, and since adding this product to the routine, everything after seems to roll right off. Moisturizer, serum, facial oil, sunscreen. No matter where I try to put this in the routine, no matter how long I give it to really soak in… no luck. I wanted to love it so much, but ... If you have a really simple routine with just a few products that really works for you I could see this being a good addition, but if you’re like me and have 7 products start to finish - avoid!
I love this product. I also am obsessed with the mask version of this. I wear the mask to sleep, and the serum daily. I have noticed a reduction in my dark spots from acne. It also removes dead skin, which is an added bonus for me. It’s so hydrating, and I’ve tried so many products! Highly recommend this to anyone struggling with dry, blemished, or dark spots on their skin. A little goes a long way as well!
I started developing some redness on my face post menopause. I went to this product. The plus, a little goes a long way. Literally two drops covers the whole face. The minus. It really doesn't get rid of the red. I left some drops sitting in my hand yesterday for about a minute while I was doing something else. When I looked at my hand, it was stained green. I realized what works with this product is that green cancels out red. So it works to a certain extent but I don't believe it is corrective on a permanent basis.
I use this on way more than my face. Any healing cut or burn I have gets this. Any aggravated skin gets this. It's a wonderful healer! If my face gets winter burned (I'm in the upper midwest), this goes over my vitamin c serum. I add it to my body lotion when I have a particularly dry patch I want to treat. It really is effective. The ONLY reason I'm knocking a star off is the green dye. Really? Dye? It's in the whole Phyto line. How about leaving the dye out and put a light green label on the bottle instead? It's such a wonderful product. Tsk Tsk...
