I've got SUPER oily skin that has occasional breakouts along my jawline. I have tried many different Vit C serums, but most of them make me more oily or just don't absorb in my skin well. I had all but given up on getting a vit C serum, which is a shame since it is such a core part of any good skin routine. I initially received a sample of the Silymarin serum and was really impressed with how well it absorbed, it wasn't tacky and it sunk right in. Fabulous. I think its important for customers to realize that this serum is NOT meant to treat acne, so the reviews that are taking points off for the lack of effect on their acne is unfair.

I use it daily as a preventative for hyperpigmentation and to prevent aging. This helps reduce the oil in my skin tremendously, and I get compliments all the time and how I look. I received a deluxe sample of it and while it smells a bit like hot dog water, really helps with my fa prone skin. Also if I have a pimple and spot treat it with this, it usually flattens out OVERNIGHT! Incredible. But for how expensive this is, it’s rather disappointing and discouraging to buy a full bottle as my sample bottle has oxidized already and I didn’t get it very long ago. Could never use the whole bottle before it oxidizes. Which would be a waste since vitamin c is virtually ineffective once it oxidizes. Still works great as a spot treatment then though.

It was already too yellow when first opened. This is unacceptable for such an expensive product. This is the precise reason I've given up on using your CE Ferulic in the past. Also, the packaging was insufficient. It arrived in a damaged box that needed more protection for shipping in the first place. I really wish you would update the delivery system of this product so that it stays stable longer. Your vitamin C products are top notch so I feel an update would be appreciated by many. I realize that y'all say that the efficacy is still there even when yellow. However, I've always heard it should be clear or a very pale yellow and should be stored in dark place. I've always stored it correctly but it simply oxidizes too quickly for my peace of mind.

This serum has to be the very best so far! I am in my 50’s and tend to have dehydrated but oily, sensitive and reactive skin. This serum has solved all of my symptoms. It treats, protects, clears imperfections and improves skin texture leaving a beautiful glow while diminishing hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and fine lines. It's a sticky serum so my SPF needs to be applied quite quickly, and then my skin looks matte for the rest of the day. Vitamin C is a very unstable molecule and exposed to light and air it does not live long (you'll know this is the case if your serum turns to more brown than yellow). I will criticise the delivery system though- why a dropper SkinCeuticals? For such a fragile ingredient you charge so much and a dropper? Which increases the chances of oxidation.. It should be in an air tight container. When I pay so much money for skincare, I want it to not only be a product, but a solution. Couldn't care less about your fancy droppers, protect your product properly. Because if you are thinking that I'll buy another serum from you if my current one oxidises too quickly it's a no. It's a you problem. But, at the moment, serum itself seems to be doing what it's supposed to so will see what the future brings. LOVE this vitamin C for acne prone skin. I have repurchased 3+ times. This product leaves my skin so dewy and glowy. I love the way it feels after applied. I personally apply to slightly damp skin for higher absorption. I use about 6 drops per morning - 2 drops per check, 1 drop forehead, 1 drop neck and this bottle lasts 2 months. I also feel this has helped with my hormonal chin acne. My skin type - early 30s; acne prone. Prefers a dewy natural glow. Considers myself very into skincare. Sees a derm 2x a year and an esthetician every other month. TLDR - yes, it's pricey, but lasts a long time, feels incredible, leaves skin dewy and glowy.
