Double cleansing aims to help you achieve your best-looking skin by eliminating the buildup of oil, dirt, dead skin cells, sunscreen, and cosmetic products. Remember the scientific principle that “like dissolves like†from Chemistry 101? Translation: oil-based cleansers can better remove oil-based dirt, cosmetics, and residue, and water-based cleansers can better remove non-oil-based dirt, cosmetics, and residue. I start with an oil-based cleanser, followed by a different, water-based facial cleanser. For me, that second cleanse is mostly a tactile thing—the Simply Clean is excellent for skin; it’s exfoliative, but it also has an incredible, refreshing feeling that I like, and that’s all part of my ritual.

Bummed

I really wanted to like this cleanser. I loved the clean feeling it provided after washing. However, it made my skin feel tight and dry. As I continued to use, I notice my face breaking out way more than it ever has before. I attributed this to “skin purging” and kept on my cleansing regimen. I am now on week 6 of using this and my face continues to be an absolute mess, despite consistently moisturizing and maintaining the same routine.

Good cleanser

I like this cleanser a lot! A little goes a long way in terms of foaming up and getting your entire face clean. I like to use it on it's own and with my Foreo for a little extra physical exfoliation. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it's not the most hydrating cleanser. I have dry skin in the winter time and as a gel cleanser, it can feel a little stripping. I rotate my cleansers frequently so will probably finish this bottle, then move on to something new.

Great for 52-year old, sensitive combination skin

This is the second bottle of this I have purchased. It lasts forever as a little goes a long way. I love how my face feels clean, but not tight or dry. At the same time my skin doesn’t feel oily or covered in film like moisturizing cream or lotion face wash makes it feel. I have perioral dermatitis that comes and goes (started when I was 40). My skin itself is combination now that I am 52; it used to be extremely oily everywhere. I had to change all skin products as I have aged. I live in a very humid climate that creates blemish making situations with makeup. This cleanser is the only one I’ve found that actually gets rid of the end of day grossness while not provoking my dermatitis or dry patches. Unfortunately, I am still looking for the rest of my regimen as every time I find something it gets discontinued.

Impressive

I’ve bounced around from cleanser to cleanser looking for one that would remove makeup and provide noticeable exfoliation without over drying my face. After a week of using SkinCeuticals Simply Clean Gel Exfoliating Cleanser, I know this is the ONE. Now I can feel my face is clean and is ready to accept my nighttime serums and moisturizer. I’m also seeing the smoothing effect of the exfoliants.The gel formula prevents loss from spillage and a little bit goes a long way. Great product!

LOVE IT!

Ok, so I've been using another high end brand for a while. But, I always had to double wash my face to get just mascara off! I decided to try out this face wash. I love it! I only have to wash once. It doesn't dry out my skin. It's a great cleanser without the over drying part. A little goes a long way too! A full pump is enough for my face, neck and chest! This is a keeper for me.

Love the cleanser, not the bottle

A little goes a long way with this cleanser! I love it, have been using for around 3 years now. It gently exfoliates and I can immediately feel a difference on my skin. My biggest complaint is with the packaging. I almost always have an issue getting the pump to work at the start, it took 3 days of trying on my latest bottle, and the bottle is designed in such a way that its next to impossible to get the product out toward the end of the bottle. I keep it upside down and then open the cap. One bottle normally lasts me around 8-10 months.

Never knew I could love a face cleanser so much

Bought this after receiving a sample at a salon. Love everything about it in a way I didn't know I could love a face cleanser. The smooth texture, the way it lathers, the way it gets all of my makeup (even my waterproof mascara). (Not crazy about the blue packaging, wish it was clear/lower profile with a nicer nozzle so I could leave it on my counter). Never thought I would spend this much on a cleanser, but I'm washing my face now so will probably continue to buy.

This is the best product I have ever used. I learned about this skin care line, when my partner sent me for a 3 hour spa day. I received a recommended for a new face care routine. I decided to try it and continue to use it for a while! I never seemed to have any skin issues after that. During that point in my life it was to expensive to continue to purchase. I stopped using it for about 2 years. My FACE LOOKED DISTORTED! All the redness came back into my skin, I broke out worse than I ever did in my teen years. I could see the aging starting in my skin. That’s when I new, I needed to start my skin care routine with Skin Ceuticals again. I will never go back to any other skin care brand. SkinCeuticals Simply Clean

This cleanser is amazing, it actually surpassed my expectations. It cleans so well and is still gentle at the same time. I have very sensitive skin and my skin did not react at all. Not only that it also evened out discolouration as it has diminished some dark/age spots I have from the sun. It also seems to prep the skin to take in products after cleansing. After cleansing my moisturiser seemed to absorb so much more effectively. I've been buying Skinceutical products one at a time as I use up all my old skincare and each product I get from this line is so good! I thoroughly recommend this brand and emailing for advice from FTF as their advice helped me to make my decisions!
