I have dry skin and have been using Skinstitut Moisture Defence Ultra Dry moisturiser for a few years. It keeps my skin hydrated without being too heavy and has a light pleasant scent. Not overpowering at all. Price point is good for the quality. Also like to mention that Activeskin is my favourite site to purchase skin care products. Great service and fast delivery and I am partial to the Kitkat that comes with each delivery.

This is seriously the best moisturiser I have come across. The product itself is soo creamy and thick, it doesn’t leave your skin oily or shiny at all and absorbs into the skin so well. It’s super hydrating and leaves my skin feeling so soft. Could not recommend this product more, it’s seriously a game changer to any skincare routine!!!

This moisturiser goes on without leaving an oily finish. I work in an air conditioned environment and my skin never feels dry. When I cleanse my face in the evening my skin feels gorgeously soft.
This is by far THE BEST moisturiser I’ve ever used!!. I’m 51 and needing a little more moisture some days, other days not so much. This moisturiser seems to cater for my skin no matter what mood she’s in. It’s so velvety smooth and hydrates all day. You only need the tiniest amount, so it will last me ages. I don’t even wear any make up, this moisturiser honestly looks so good on my skin. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Will DEF be purchasing again!
Love this product, keeps my skin lovely and smooth, which you need in colder climates. I have been using this product for 4 years now and won't be changing anything tome soon. It's not heavy or greasy on your skin. Just love it.
I love this moisturiser it feels like silk when you apply it! I feel hydrated most of the day. A little really goes a long way and I don’t feel oily or clogged when wearing it!I’ve been using these products for years I do sometimes try other brands but always seem to find my way back to skinstitut!
I found the scent way too strong to wear on my face. It’s nice, just overpowering. But I’m using it as a hand cream and it’s very thick and moisturising so would probably be great if you’re not sensitive and had very dry skin. This was my first Skinstitute product in about 4 years and had only used cleaners and serums before, which were much more subtle.
It’s got a nice texture and might work for you if you don’t have sensitive skin. The rose fragrance is way too strong for me and stung my skin a little bit. Reminds me of a scented hand lotion rather than a facial moisturiser :(
As a healthcare worker required to wear PPE all day, my face suffers a lot! I have acne prone skin and get super oily at work. I love anything with Niacinimide, as it is one of my favourite skin care ingredients. This moisturiser is a nice consistency, very lightweight, not a heavy cream and does absorb into the skin very fast however when it’s completely absorbed it leaves a tacky feeling. I always put sunscreen on top which eliminates the tackiness. I’ve noticed a slight difference in my skin. I’m not breaking out as much, my current acne is starting to heal nicely and my skin isn’t as oily. It’s still early stages so I’m excited to see what happens.
