I didn’t believe the reviews when they talked about the bass on these headphones but they’re no joke. The slider works very well and the other controls do as well. The audio is crisp, clear, and the bass is unreal and sounds amazing. The app is pretty useful especially for setting up a personal audio tune which only improves the already great audio output. The carrying case is also a very nice bonus and the headphones fold easily into the case and the belt is a nice little loop to clip onto things or use as a carrying handle. The battery is ridiculous and lasts a very long time. I’ve had these for about a month at this point and have only charged them about 1 1/2 times, after using them for about an hour or more a day, and they didn’t even need to be charged. I Use ... I’ve showed them to multiple family members and friends and they are all shocked, especially at the bass, and have all stated they want to get a pair. All in all I would highly recommend these headphones for anyone but especially for those looking for a pair with unreal bass or something that’ll last in the gym.

I saw a very nicely worded review on amazon that used a metaphor to describe these. It said:“Imagine you had $1000 to put a band together. You needed to hire bass, mids and highs (not how it works but bear with me).You decide to give $700 to bass and cut the remaining $300 to mid and high equally, giving them $150 each. The band performs and as the songs builds up it sounds pretty alright. Then when bass goes off, it's so stupidly good, it makes the other two look childish in comparison. Kinda like hiring Mariah Carey to do vocals for a High School band.”I agree with this wholeheartedly. Using the display in store and having my face vibrated by the hefty bass is what sold me, and I failed to realize at that time that there is no noise cancellation whatsoever. ... Using the display in store and having my face vibrated by the hefty bass is what sold me, and I failed to realize at that time that there is no noise cancellation whatsoever. It is not suitable for working out, nor a loud workplace such as mine. I sit around pc and modulator fans for 16 hours multiple times per week. You can imagine the noise if you compare it to just one pc fan, let alone 15-20. I turned the volume up to try and get some equality with the bass but anything past midrange is painful. (It starts to hiss right around 55%) I turn the bass down and it’s upper level mid *at best*. I wanted these to be perfect so bad as I’ve had Skullcandy earbuds back in my grade school days, but as mentioned previously, bass is so good everything else isn’t good enough.

The first thing I did upon arrival of these headphones was the personal EQ setup in the app. After the test which was a series of tones played in both ears checking to see if a noise registered, it then automatically set a EQ preset which was adjusted to my hearing from the app test.I then put them on and dialed up one of my favorite songs, as soon as the song started playing I could tell something was different. It wasn’t until the chorus of the song that I knew something was a lot different. I was hearing parts of this song I didn’t even realize was there. I own the original CRUSHER with bass adjustment so I put them on and played the same song just to make sure I wasn’t delusional, or that it wasn’t a new mix of the song. I own the original CRUSHER with bass adjustment so I put them on and played the same song just to make sure I wasn’t delusional, or that it wasn’t a new mix of the song. It wasn’t , it was the same song I have bumped over and over yet with my new Crusher EVO I was hearing it like iv never heard it before.I absolutely loved my old Crusher’s so the bar was set high to pass my level of respect for them. I have owned BEATS solo, Mixer, Pro Studio’s and the one that came close to the Crusher was my Beats Mixer headphones. And at the time when I bought the Crusher was about $200 cheaper than my Beats. I was immediately surprised when I tested the Crusher at the store. It sounded and felt like I was in my car bumping down the street, or at club or party. So like I said the bar was set high. These Crusher EVO Sensory have not only met that bar, but set a new level. The Bass is still there but now you add these crisp mid and highs sounds that have been adjusted just to your hearing levels from the personalized EQ…GAME CHANGER!These headphones have absolutely changed how and what I’m hearing in music. If there’s love at first sight then there has to be love at first hearing. Your mind will be blown when you listen to music or songs you have played for years, when you hear how they sound with a pair of these on.
It’s interesting listening to the different mixes with the bass slider turned all the way up. You can hear which tracks have been mixed with sub-bass in mind as the mix remains clear but with your head vibrating between the cups. Other tracks can completely wash out and other times I’ve had to check whether I had accidentally turned the bass back down as it didn’t seem to exist.Turning the bass up is a bit of a novelty and most of my listening is done with the slider just slightly up from the bottom. The headphones are bass heavy anyway so I would never use them for actual audio work. The quality feels good, the headphones and comfy, and the battery life feels good. I’ve also used them as a wireless headset for phone calls which sound good to me but I don’t know ... MoreIt’s interesting listening to the different mixes with the bass slider turned all the way up. You can really tell the difference when using the cable instead of Bluetooth for audio as this turns the personal sound off.Overall I do wonder whether I’ve made getting the Crusher Evo and should have instead gone for the ANC as this would’ve given me the bass I want for general listening with the personal sound and EQ settings but would’ve gained the active noise cancelling.
Skullcandy how I love thee. I have owned the first generation then these for over 2 years now. These headphones have and I literally mean have SAVED my life more than once. I waited for w2s to get some tax money and got new one's as I have been lost without mine and everyone who knows me call me headphones because they live on my body at all times. Well as you could imagine this very abusive relationship cost me the last pair I just got. They are in piece's in someone back yard. I searched for the piece's for days to try and fix them to no avail. I have no income at the moment as my abuser became so possessive of me he wouldn't let me work we without causing issues at job's. So now as I write this, he is in jail, I am at a shelter for domestic violence victims and I have a stupid pair of headphones that someone was kind enough to give me. But, I can't even begin to explain my love for these headphones and this company you guy's made things so easy to order ask questions etc. Great company and even better product. I still use music as a cooping mechanism as it is the only thing that has never left me or died. But right now I am not called "headphones" because my abuser took them from me again knowing how much they meant to me. I'm lost, I'm scared and I don't know what the next day will bring but I am standing on all ten toes and I still have some music and that will just have to do for right now. Thanks for being such a great company.
Audiophiles will love this headset. By default I'm a huge and loyal fan of Skullcandy products. Their Ink'd buds have been my one and only choice for drowning out dumb and irritable noises/music while in public, especially at my third shift job. Wanting something different for change, I opted to buy these which I thought were noise cancelling as well but found out they're not. No big deal because these are reserved for my home cave where it's mostly quiet anyway. So far I'm okay with the controls. It took me awhile with another device so in time I'll master this one. The ear cups are so plushy and just right for me. The head band does ache my head after some time of wearing but this is with ANY headset on the market. While off and wired in with the 3.5mm cable it can deliver almost the same results as the buds in sound delivery. Super.Turned on and synched (via Bluetooth) to a MP3 player? Oh, ho, ho... be sure that bass adjuster is down all the way before hitting play. Depending on the song itself, the low notes really hit. I can enjoy a deep bassline when the mood strikes but can only keep the slider at a pinch-high level or else it's like having my head in a car trunk with 2000-watt subwoofers performing at peak.Even before the halfway mark the headset is physically vibrating like crazy. I'm a rock, metal, oldies kind of guy but will slip into my techno, house, and R&B list once in a while which have some serious low notes in them and are a great choice to demonstrate this headset's capabilities.Because I like to take care of my things and want these to last as long as possible, that slider will never go above a quarter way. Skullcandy outdid themselves with this one. I'm more than certain this is the same set a coworker of mine uses. Some nights she's constantly talking to someone for 8 hours using the phone connect feature.Get this for someone who would enjoy some crisp highs, mids, lows... and low-lows... while also potentially getting a head massage.
I bought these headphones for the entire purpose of the bass slider which is amazing, don’t get me wrong, but there are some concerns I noticed especially for the $200 price tag for these headphones. The bass is annoyingly unbalanced. The right ear cup has most of the bass, and it is quite obvious, and it’s not worth trying to ignore. When I flipped the headphones around, the bass was now more focused to the left side. They are also not worth returning since the company is too cheap to pay for shipping labels. I also noticed very poor consistency in the instructions and features on the box. Some online videos say that 10 minutes of charging will give you FOUR hours of play time, while the box says it will give you THREE? And the app says it will give you four again? ... Some online videos say that 10 minutes of charging will give you FOUR hours of play time, while the box says it will give you THREE? And the app says it will give you four again? What is it, three or four? It makes it feel like a knock off. Also the instructions for a reset do not correlate correctly with how it actually happens. The LED flashes purple when you turn it on and off, but it’s suppressed to do that when performing a reset. The instructions for pairing also differ from the box instructions vs the manual/ online videos. I want to like these headphones, and I still use them every day, but these issues should not be present within a $200 product.
